Hey, why isn’t this at the top of this page? I know there’s a **** ton of Cubans on this board and this a platform where we can tell people what the **** is going on unlike the Telemundo rependidos sittimg in their west Pembroke Pines and Miramar country clubs chilling.

I respectfully and humbly write to ask that you wield your strong influence within our great country to spur intervention in the matter of the unfathomable repression and inhumanity that our mostly black and mulato brethren in Cuba are experiencing in this very moment as they seek to assert their fundamental human rights.

These protesters are being dragged, beaten, fired at, and imprisoned, all at the hands of a well armed and organized police state, and despite clearly insurmountable odds they stand with dignity to demand change for themselves and the generations to come. I hope that this valor in the face of oppression will resonate with you and that you will find it within your hearts to act in favor of protecting the Cuban people.

Thank you kindly for your attention to this urgent and critical matter.

You mean the sanctions that have been imposed since 1960? No personal disrespect intended, but you are opining on a topic that you appear to have little knowledge of. Remember that famous line that starts "Better to be silent"

Those sanctions don’t affect the Cuban people one bit. It doesn’t prevent them from fishing, confiscate a farmer’s harvest, or prohibit the conduction of ordinary business. It didn’t destroy the sugar cane and tobacco mills or the shoe and canning factories. Communism and Socialism did. All the embargo does is affect the lining of the Cuban Government’s pockets.
