Exactly as they are now. Butch didn’t do **** until year those sanctions were over and done with.

Saban took Alabamas roster and was competing for a title in year 2. He can do way more with less than Butch ever could

He was about to be one of the highest paid college coaches in the game AT THE TIME. The bigger issue was the buyout.

We took sanctions 95-97 it wasn’t in the middle. He didn’t win a **** thing while he had them. He was average to awful until he had a full roster.

You were there, you know how much kids loved the U back then. He wasn’t trying to rebuild at UConn.

What don’t you get?

I guess revisionist history is on your side my friend. Going into Lousiana, Canada, all over, all while having limited scholarships. If you say kids still loved the u, why did it drop off so fast once he left?
