Comment from a long time NFL reporter

His comments sound like another coach who said a similar line about knowing what the other team was doing.

They Are Nfl GIF

Sour grapes.

Not sure he is bad but his college performance doesn't match what he has done before. I would guess that some of the reasons are time constraints (less practice time than NFL), poor choices with coordinators, and subpar talent evaluations, among other reasons. And not having arguably the best QB ever doesn't help.
He had a good college QB last year and couldn't do **** with him. Now he's killing it at Wake.

I respect that. Honestly, I don't have any love for Bill B. You want to say great NFL coach, bad college coach, go for it. Not my dog, not my fight.
n he was smart to get bobby pretrino cause if he didnt they likely would be sitting at like 2 wins right now.....

they at 4 and won nail biters to get to that.

he NEEDS TO ADAPT N BRING IN MORE COLLEGE GUYS ..that would keep them avg...i dont think he will do a good as job as MACK bROWN AT unc/

I still remember belichek and saban openly questioning why we had guys bailing cover 3 in red zone for championship game.. like wtf are you doin type response, u rarely see that wit coaches unless they feel it's negligence
Dawg we getting killed in the middle of the field and we went two man inside the 50 and guess what happened lol

Mack Browm didn’t coach in the NIL era where rosters turn over every year. You know this.
How is that relevant? Belichick got a big NIL budget and wasted it on bums.

He made his friend Lombardi the highest paid GM in college football. The roster sucked and Lombardi quit in disgrace.
Don’t really care about the messenger here , I care about the message , because it’s the truth. This defense is going to cost us a chance at a natty if they stay the course.

Belichicks's biggest mistake was surrounding himself with his cronies. (and his GF & family)

He underestimated how difficult it was going to be to win in college

So now the standard is that he should’ve turned UNC around 1 year because you believe he had enough money to do so? And the failure to do so makes him a bad coach?

Mario Cristobal, at a much more well-resourced program, went 5-7 with a home loss to middle Tennessee in his 1st year. A few short years later, he was playing for a natty.

Like Cristobal, Belichick heal was hired in December, and didn’t have an opportunity to bring in his own guys. How much money he had to spend at that point was irrelevant- he missed the transfer window (for all intents and purposes).

Mack brown went 6-7 and that got him fired. Wikipedia says 52 players from that team then transferred or declared that offseason. Belichick went 4-8 the next season off the aforementioned short offseason. That is year 1 of a rebuild. Now they are over the win total and on the right trajectory.

Brady bs belichick? Brady. The proof is in the pudding. But to pretend belichick doesn’t belong in a league with Fran brown and tosh lapoi as HCs is laughable.

Pretty disingenuous.

I guess Dawson also noticed that they didn’t change anything either cause he carved them up.
Our ridiculously talented offense shredded their mid level ACC defense. Their trash qb shredded a highly paid and recruited defense that is supposed to be upper level nationally. It’s much different. They put up 3 less points than us.

Belichick had UNC's worst season in 8 years. In the offseason, his DC (son) and GM (friend) quit in disgrace. His QB, Gio Lopez, left to an in-state rival and became a star. And Belichick's current team has lost 4 of its last 6.

That's not a rebuild. That's turning a middle-of-the-pack program into a disaster.

I think it’s more of “who cares… you still lost”

Imagine if Mario gave similar rhetoric after the natty game. Made it seem like IU wasn’t anything special to figure out we’d be on his *** (pause) because you STILL LOST.

i have no bail for heatherman right now ... we have to get better, we have a huge opportunity this saturday to change the narrative
