They adjusted everyone’s rankings. It was a composite update. It’s just sketch af that it happened again right after we got a kid, last time it was the Wayne fiasco.
It was On3. Had Rashada ranked 192nd overall. He’s now ranked top 150. Jumped over 40 spots. Weird how that happened after he flipped.

Field never gets enough credit on the trail. He’s 1000% an asset. Played a massive role in flipping Skinner from Bama. Arroyo came here because of him etc… you don’t get hired as the Director of Recruiting for Mario without having the goods (2018). I would like him to stay.

Except he couldn’t teach Mallory to block in 5yrs. Kind of an important part of the job.

Skinner, as talented as he is, didn’t improve his blocking as the season progressed.

Ummm...coaches cant improve your blocking all too much just enforce that you know WHO to block.

He cant make Mallory or Skinner not soft in the blocking game...they are who they are. Mallory couldnt block coming in here and nothing changed at the end. His **** dad is/was an NFL coach and couldnt help that. Im not going to expect Skinner ever to be much of a blocker just willing as he ains strength.

Its a mindset....hence you see Khalil Brantley a guy not even known for blocking...was a split wide wr in hs as well come in and lay fools down.....

No, he can’t teach Skinner and Mallory desire.

He can teach them proper technique. Not only do these guys NOT have a desire to block, they also do it wrong when they do attempt it.

It’s the TE coaches job to at least teach the basics (elbows in, hands on chest plate, good base). These guys are out there lunging, whiffing, or holding on almost every god**** play.

People don’t understand the concept of “want to”. The lack of this is why we lost as many games as we did. You can tell somebody how to do it right a million times but they have to want to do it right.

Facts. Im not expecting Field to be some miracle worker with Carver. He’s not going to be this top tier blocker, that’s expected (was also expected with Skinner). It’s also why Mikeska is in this class.

But I do know without Field, Skinner and Arroyo aren’t here right now. Both of which possess NFL traits that many other position groups lack.

Exactly.

"Failure to do something" is not evidence that someone wasn't taught properly.

Hopefully this kid responds to the weight room the same way Rosseau did. I swear Rousseau got on campus one week looking like a beanpole, and the next week He had muscles poppin' outta everywhere.

So how does one measure “want to” then?

I want to know at what point leadership (in this case coaching) becomes accountable for the performance on the field

lol man I wish this want to crap was around when we crushed **** perfroamces from the team when golden, Manny, richt, Shannon were here. again, so many excuses for a staff that earned an F in coaching this season. its oaky to say they were trash. they didnt do anything well from a coaching standpoint and lost the roster. the players also quit on them too.

At what point does ensuring that “something” is executed properly become a priority?

Essentially what you’re saying here is that Field isn’t responsible for the players not learning.

If he’s not, then what is he responsible for exactly?

Habits. What is he doing outside of school.

And I bet if we dig further into THIS class compared to Manny’s the habits are way better.
