Coaching Preference Lists Record

hoprfully we at least call Patterson, Gundy and Hue Jackson (I don't know much about him but he's doing great things at Cincy and his personality seems like it would be a great fit for the college game). If Hue is still interested I would place him third instead of Babers

I really like Babers.
Been following him since his Eastern Illinois days.
I think he would be a nice fit at Coral Gables.
His defense was bad last year, but it has improved somewhat this season.
We need a write up on him. He doesn't get noticed much but he's done very well. I will try to do a thread on him.

My hope is the school reaches out to him. I really hope there is an extremely thorough search this time around

In order of my enthusiasm.

1. Chip Kelly riding in on a unicorn juggling naked pixies resembling in prime Salma Hayek.

2. Tom 'hostile' Herman
3. Butch 'Da Gawd' Davis
4. Dan 'I'm sick of Mississippi' Mullen
5. Dance off between Chuck Strong and Stoops the younger.

6-whateverthe****. Fold the progrum.

1. Tom Herman
2. Justin Fuente (D$ said he would prefer other locations but we'll see)
2b. Butch Davis
3. Dino Babers (really like this guy, if he wins out I would put him ahead of Butch)

Chip Kelly isn't reasonable atm. Hue Jackson will be coaching in the playoffs and likely get an NFL gig. The timing won't work out there. Chuck will likely be coaching in the playoffs as well.

This will be the 3rd time I've posted this. But from a face to face conversation with Leon Hall, Hue ain't coming here. Don't know if Lee knows anything. But he laughed and said Hue will stay in NFL, won't be at miami.

Just passing info along...

We had our chance last year and blew it

1. Hue Jackson - If he can make Andy Dalton look good...there's nothing he can't do
2. Pagano - He'll likely bring a strong staff
3. Herman - Somewhat risky but I can see why people like him so much
4. Butch - Safety net.

No thank you - Cristobal, Strong. Cristobal would likely retain Coley which would cause me to stop being a Canes fan. Strong is the most overrated coach in the country in my opinion. I'm not a fan of his at all.

Indifferent - Chud, Schiano . Not exciting hires but we could do worse (see above)

For the record I'd cut off a body part to get Chip Kelly. If there's any hope whatsoever there that avenue must be completely explored and exhausted before formally offering the job to someone else.

Butch Davis
Chuck Pagano
Hue Jackson
Tom Herman
Justin Fuente

I think the school doesn't want to hire another up and coming head coach after Goldie...

As long as Butch Davis gets equal consideration under the law I'll be happy with any of LuCane 's top 4.

Butch Davis 2016!

Eliminating current NFL and Power 5 Head Coaches -

Butch Davis
Josh McDaniels
Tom Herman
Hue Jackson
Justin Fuente

I'm on record

1. Hue (not coming)
2. Herman (should be our no1 target)
3 Butch - most likely the hire

Butch will take the job but in case he doesn't
4. Chud (intriguing)
5 .Strong
6. Mario/Schiano. (We'd be desperate at that point)

1. Dan Mullen
2. Mike Gundy
3. Butch Davis
4. Tom Herman

Dan Mullen's a legit coach, but based on my previous experience with what he supposedly said and how we reacted, I don't think he's a realistic option here.

Gundy is an interesting name on the list. Have you done a profile on him?

That's disappointing regarding Mullen. I always thought he wanted to follow Meyer's path and make that jump to a school that gives him a realistic opportunity to build a title team. I had hoped his comments post-Miami interview were just posturing after he offended whoever conducted it.

I've got Gundy coming up after Butch and Herman. He's another interesting guy that I think is a great coach and might be able to be plucked. We need to find the ambitious coach who's realized he's hit a ceiling at his program and is looking to arm up elsewhere. Im rooting for Baylor and Oklahoma to blow their doors off and send Gundy looking for greener pastures.

1. Gary Patterson
2. Butch Davis (although age and time off and time away from sfl concerns me)
3. Tom Herman (would be higher than Butch if not for one year wonder/bad competition fear)
4. Charlie Strong
5. Justin Fuente

Considering his History, he might already be at his dream job.

Where does the Hue love affair come from? The **** is wrong wit u ppl

For his own reasons, Coach Jackson has legitimately reached out to us. Multiple times. He's likely going to be looked at as a potential NFL coach. He has good aspects. He has negative aspects (some of which I've talked about).

Perhaps break down his profile so we know what's "wrong" with considering him. The funny thing is HurricaneVision, whose posts I appreciate, likes your post. Yet, he has some college coordinators on his list. Odd stuff. Or, you have the option to get out of this thread. There are a dozen other threads where ***** is being flung around. Gonna try to keep this one clean. Thanks.

I think that's an error. Hue Jackson wouldn't excite me, but I usually try and avoid liking posts that are inflammatory.

Must've been late.

1. Herman
2. Butch
3. Hue Jackson
4. Pagan
