Definitely love Jacurri’s potential especially since we don’t need him right away with our QB room. Has some time to get the accuracy down, sounds like he has been messing with his mechanics
Development kid who if coached right can be special as he does have the tools needed. Stacking TVD and Garcia let’s you take a flyer on such a great prospect like this to see what you get.

Recruiting, especially for the quarterback position this early in the game, should be, and is fluid.

The evaluation and calibration of a recruit’s standing in the hierarchy never ends.

Camps like this can help the offensive coaches evaluate and reevaluate the recruit, their progress, and yes, their standing as a recruit.

You don’t want to overemphasize a bad workout, at the same time, you must take note of it.

I’m certain Lashlee is paying attention.

IMO, he's the perfect QB for this cycle, a bit of a project with a super high ceiling. Also, can likely sit and work on things for a few years with Garcia and TVD in the mix.
Agree, as much as it would be nice to get 5* qb after 5*, you begin to run into the Clemson problem where the 5* on the bench transfers real quick. A kid that comes in with the expectation he needs to sit for a few years has a higher chance of sticking around.

When you take away Jacurri’s legs you take away what makes him so dangerous as a dual threat QB.

Watch his tape, he has arm talent, and this elite 11 sorta confirms that he does have downfield accuracy which he shows on tape. His biggest area of improvement is in the pocket intermediate throws.

If you were expecting him to crush the Elite 11 and throwing on air, then you haven't watch him. He's raw as a passer but has a heck of an arm. But he's the type of QB that comes alive with the pads on and threat of his legs.
At this stage of his development the expectation should be he’s in the bottom half of the competition. I love the kid long term, this competition is cutting his skillset in half.
