My first thought is they should know from practice whether any of the QB room is ready to be QB1 but we have seen even good OCs not really know whether they have a dude at QB until he plays real games.
I agree with the idea that this guy isn't so good that he warrants Beck $ and a starting job promise but I just keep thinking about the bust rate and if the choice is just this unproven room or Bailey then the chances of any first time starter being as productive as Bailey are not great, so one of these young guys better be wowing people in practice if coaches ride with them and decline to take proven production.
