In every game against a team with a pulse he was 65% for ~220 yards 1/1 that's in college. Even in the NFL that stat line is considered not bad at best. He honestly has no business winning the Heisman and I forsee a fall in the draft once the scouts look under the hood on him. Nice kid and a gamer has a bit of a clutch gene. Career back up in the NFL if he is lucky more than likely cup of coffee in the league and quick exit to his next career. We’ll see. NFL is hard to predict with situation and a bunch of other factors.
The college argument is over. He’s the projected Heisman and #1 pick for a Big 10 champion.
All the people who trashed him should collect their Ls before moving on to NFL hating.
still feel the same way. No way I look at Bailey and think he's as good or better than Mendoza. I've watched them both. I trust my eyes.Something to keep in mind when you watch Saturday's Heisman ceremony:
CJ Bailey (two years at NC State)
68%, 5,297 yards, 7.9 YPA, 40 TDS, 19 INTs, 494 rushing yards, 10 TDs
Fernando Mendoza (two years at Cal)
66%, 4,712 yards, 7.5 YPA, 30 TDs, 16 INTs, 197 rushing yards, 4 TDs
When I first brought up Mendoza as a Miami option last year, most of the responses were, "We can do better," "We're only talking about him because he's from South Florida," or worse. Those posts aged like the girl from Top Gun.
Better chance Peter Luger hires you as steak chefIs there any chance we don’t take a qb and have Emory, nickel and Coleman battle it out? If we take a transfer I’d lean torwards getting a guy who has multiple years of eligibility this go around
I'd be depressed if either Sellers or Raiola came in as QB. It would be going backwards..,IMO, I don’t think we can lose more than 1 game next year and I don’t believe we can win with Sellers or Raiola at ND.
The ACC is a ******* abortion of a conference and losing 1 conference game next year I don’t believe is an option and the best way to keep teams in games is with indecisive QBs and turnover prone QBs.
That Clemson game next year is a must win. I know Sellers has played Clemson before but I don’t trust that guy to not lose those 2 games.
At the very least it’d be a signal we are going for a home run. Whatever negatives we can point to with both, and there are major negatives, those 2 have OBVIOUS high upside/ceiling.I'd be depressed if either Sellers or Raiola came in as QB. It would be going backwards..,
Raiola is better than Beck.I'd be depressed if either Sellers or Raiola came in as QB. It would be going backwards..,
If anything happens where Emory comes out even number 2 in a competition we are SCREWED at QBIs there any chance we don’t take a qb and have Emory, nickel and Coleman battle it out? If we take a transfer I’d lean torwards getting a guy who has multiple years of eligibility this go around
Beck can actually read defenses, played a lot of football & been around successful players & team. Raiola is none of those & will find a way to get you beat.Raiola is better than Beck.
Carson Beck had 10 career completions, a 43% completion percentage, 2 career touchdowns and 2 career interceptions, at the end of his 2nd college season.Beck can actually read defenses, played a lot of football & been around successful players & team. Raiola is none of those & will find a way to get you beat.
How would you stack Raiola, Sorsby, Leavitt, Mestemaker, Sellers, and Bailey? (Obviously accounting for our offense too not JUST in general)Raiola is better than Beck.
Mestemaker and raiola would be tier 1 for MIAMI imo. After that I would group Bailey, sorsby, leavitt (I think he’s a lemon at this point) if at any point you make it past this group I would say you’re doing yourself a disservice by not seeing what you have in houseHow would you stack Raiola, Sorsby, Leavitt, Mestemaker, Sellers, and Bailey?
I think I’d go Sorsby and Mestemaker at top cause they are safest with high ceiling (Sorsby) and have 2 years which would be huge (Mestemaker).
After those two I’d go Raiola I think simply for the high potential and fact he’s a pure thrower (so def a take above Sellers for me). Then probably Leavitt…
I mean there’s also all the guys I wouldn’t expect to enter…I’d also 100% take Mensah over pretty much all of them. **** I’d probably take Nico over Bailey too tbh. I think he has higher upside. Josh Hoover I don’t expect him to enter. I’d prob Demond Williams over Sellers… I think honestly Katin Houser would be a cheaper and better add than Bailey too tbh.. and I’d take Austin Simmons as QB2 as well
Beck couldn’t do any of those things at Dylan’s stage.Beck can actually read defenses, played a lot of football & been around successful players & team. Raiola is none of those & will find a way to get you beat.
Since you know Texas so well you think Mestemaker is just a likely lock to OKst? I was pretty surprised Morris picked OKst. Thought he would have been able to get a better job. But I don’t think they’d be able to match NIL with top programs, so it’d all be about him specifically wanting to stick with MorrisMestemaker and raiola would be tier 1 for MIAMI imo. It’s in NO way a lock. lol this kids story is so unique. Austin kids who can’t go to UT will go anywhere and his market is robust.Since you know Texas so well you think Mestemaker is just a likely lock to OKst? I was pretty surprised Morris picked OKst. Trying to tell em. Raiola at UM is a top 15 draft pick. They don’t wanna hear itRaiola is better than Beck.
Guess agree to disagree. Want nothing to do with Team Raiola.Beck couldn’t do any of those things at Dylan’s stage.
Maybe Weigman to OKSt then. But Eigman did just have an interview where he said his plan was to return which I found surprising. It’s in NO way a lock. lol this kids story is so unique. Austin kids who can’t go to UT will go anywhere and his market is robust.
