I understand if that’s your angle and I agree with. Just pure ability gotta go DylanGuess agree to disagree. Want nothing to do with Team Raiola.

Also let’s be honest…. If Texas Tech doesn’t just roll with Hammond… Raiola is going to be all about going there to compete his baby Mahomes dreamsBeck couldn’t do any of those things at Dylan’s stage.
Understandable as Beck was a backup on national title team until Year 3 & properly developed. Raiola only went to Nebraska because of the guarantee of playing immediately. Just not a Raiola fan for multiple reasons. If there are a lot of QBs who can do what Beck did this year, then sign them up & we’ll all be happy.Carson Beck had 10 career completions, a 43% completion percentage, 2 career touchdowns and 2 career interceptions, at the end of his 2nd college season.
Raoila was thrown into the fire day 1 on a ****** Nebraska team.
If we are going to compare the two, lets be fair.
I dont think its up for debate that Raoila has a lot more natural talent than Beck. Beck did a solid job here, but he wasnt asked to do very much. A lot of QBs can do what Beck did for us this year.
Fun fact. I’ve known the general manager of Texas tech since I was 4 years old, James Blanchard. I played with his brother who played for Baylor for a few years in hs. I say all that to say, raiola won’t step foot on Texas tech’s campus. lolAlso let’s be honest…. So, enjoy Patrick Jr.I understand if that’s your angle and I agree with. Just pure ability gotta go Dylan
Judging by your "team Raoila" comment im guessing youre considering a lot of off the field stuff. Which, I agree, the Mahomes **** is weird. Im not familiar with any other negatives.Understandable as Beck was a backup on national title team until Year 3 & properly developed. I do like that most of these QBs have two years of eligibility left. I think our next transfer QB needs to be someone who can start here for two years.Watch Mestemaker’s film, then go back and watch Aaron Rodgers at Cal — the similarities are striking. In college, Rodgers threw with a higher arm carriage before refining his motion at the NFL level. Mestemaker operates with more of a three-quarter release, but it’s exceptionally quick and efficient. He’s the guy. Invest accordingly.
Sorsby has likely reached his ceiling — a reliable quarterback, but not a true difference-maker.
Sellers has not demonstrated the baseline traits needed to project success at this level. Chronically inaccurate, and that's being nice.
Raiola has elite upside, but only if he consistently operates within the structure of the offense rather than defaulting to hero-ball tendencies (Leroy Jenkins!!!).
Bailey is steady and dependable, and arguably an upgrade over the current roster. I’d be comfortable with him starting for a year while Coleman develops.
Just not a fan of drama from players & families. The HS transfer, college de-commit, brother commit & de-commit, uncle or whoever coaching Nebraska OL & fired after nephews bail. The Mahomes **** is beyond bizarre. Also had a chance to see him play in HS. Obviously has talent, but vibe & interaction with teammates was horrible. Again, maybe he’ll be a stud at next stop & retire Mahomes in KC, but not one of my top choices.Judging by your "team Raoila" comment im guessing youre considering a lot of off the field stuff. But purely off film, from what I've seen, I do think Raoila has more natural talent than Beck. I haven't done a deep dive, so if he struggles to read defenses, then thats different.
Anyway, id have Raoila like 4th or 5th on my list rn. Im not advocating for him being the top target.
Post of the Day candidate!Who in the world cares if Mendoza busts in the league? He's leading the #1 team in the country and is about to win the Heisman trophy. After a kid leaves here, if he wanted to go live on the moon, I couldn't care less. Just win here.
Also, just a totally unnecessary stray at Kelly McGillis here. Yeah, she’s aged like an avocado on the surface of the sun, but she didn’t think she’d catch a DMoney roundhouse while having her morning coffee reading about her Canes.
He more than likely will play in the NFL or at least make an NFL team due to his measurables etc but compare him and put him in the same mention as why Mendoza will make the NFL unless that's just simply you saying I told you Mendoza's going to make the NFL as well and if you saw I've been telling people about Mendoza for 3 years already now so I'm right there on the the seat for Mendoza being an NFL player and a relatively high one at that but Bailey other than his measurables has very little going for him at least as of now there's nothing I see about Bailey that screams worlds of potential other than his physical traits. The mental side of the game he isn't even close to being where he needs to be withHe will play in the NFL.
Save this post and put it next to the Mendoza thread.
Thats fair. Aside from the mahomes cosplay, didnt really know all that.Just not a fan of drama from players & families. It's important to remember we are more than likely replacing 80% of the offensive line next season and I'm not sure how many of them are on the roster right now. Even if they are people that are on the roster right now obviously it's coming from the backups which have been backups for a reason. As a result of that more than likely our run game is going to suffer some even though run blocking is far easier than pass protection, but very likely our passing game is going to suffer substantially unless we do drastic things in the offseason. Mario is going to have to get creative I'd imagine since we don't play a lot of backups in key roles for development right now. I guess it's just a matter of not knowing what we've got on our hands and while talent should be abundant developing it is something else entirely. I hope you're right though. But if I'm dead set on a portal QB for next year my one mandatory thing would be it's somebody mobile. With our OL, run game and defense we’ll be fine with any of these guys.I mean Beck has us in the playoff for god sakes . On top of that the wr core will be even better next year. So we don’t need the perfect qb , we just need a guy that has pretty good arm talent , good accuracy / ball placement , brings leadership and hard work. There’s no perfect guy out there but there’s enough talent on this roster to life up somebody that’s had to carry too much of the load at a lesser program. We don’t need a Cam to come in and throw for 375 every game to keep our heads a float, btw there’s not any of those walking through the door anyways.
Just would require serious research and sign-off by staff before bringing him in.Thats fair. Aside from the mahomes cosplay, didnt really know all that.
People seem to struggle to understand how much is going to be in fluctuation next season If you're going to break a QB in next season it's definitely the time to do it. Because more than likely our ceiling next season is 10 wins nine wins something in that range. just a lot of players being replaced next season. And that doesn't even include a good possibility we've got a decent number of people transferring out.Is there any chance we don’t take a qb and have Emory, nickel and Coleman battle it out? If we take a transfer I’d lean torwards getting a guy who has multiple years of eligibility this go around
Brother, if you took what I said about Beck as disrespect, I have to ask you to reasses your sensitivity. The Beck disrespect on this Board is wild. Second best season for a UM qb since Dorsey and about to get drafted in top 3 rounds, but sure he’s easily replaceable…
One of the rare times I disagree with you. While we have to replace a lot of players next season, I think our depth will be better than ever in many rooms (outside of RB, TE and LB).People seem to struggle to understand how much is going to be in fluctuation next season If you're going to break a QB in next season it's definitely the time to do it.
