CJ Bailey needs to come home

IMO, I don’t think we can lose more than 1 game next year and I don’t believe we can win with Sellers or Raiola at ND.

The ACC is a ******* abortion of a conference and losing 1 conference game next year I don’t believe is an option and the best way to keep teams in games is with indecisive QBs and turnover prone QBs.

That Clemson game next year is a must win. I know Sellers has played Clemson before but I don’t trust that guy to not lose those 2 games.

I haven’t read all the porsts following this one, but that’s not true.

Actually, we can lose one game (conference or otherwise) and maybe another, and still easily make the ACCCG. Win that and we’re in (assuming we don’t have a Duke record), so I don’t know where you get we can only lose one+ game business. Losing two games is not ideal and it’s risky, but that’s how you get in.

As far as the two quarterbacks you mentioned, I’ll leave that to the quarterback experts. But it doesn’t seem like they’re going to be very high on our radar.

I think CJ Bailey is gonna be great something about that kid. Most likely I’m wrong though i thought Emory was gonna be good.
Bailey has actually started for a year and a half so there’s actual evidence that he can play. Unlike Emory Williams who built a house of hope because he kinda reminds some people of Ken Dorsey

Brother... I'm aware what their play time ended up being. Why would what their play time ended up being(especially when it wasn't gaurenteed to them)scare away anyone in the room BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED... At least me, (no clue what anyone else is talking about on here)I was talking about dudes leaving IMMEDIATELY into the portal over bringing in FRONT LINE STARTERS AT THEIR POSITIONS. I really appreciate everyone explaining to me how **** works in a locker room and on a field but I'll stick with my opinions. No issue at all with you sticking to yours even though we're clearly not talking about the same things.
Ha. Explaining to you how **** works in a locker room and on the field? That didn’t happen, but ok. We’ll see what happens in the portal at Edge.

I'm just glad we don't have to see Emory 3.0 this off-season.

Although I wonder if, like last year, seeing Emory in a bowl game would have shut down the inevitable "let's just stick with Emory" talk the minute we think we miss out on a portal target.

D$ has mentioned Blount wants to move inside. Permanently.

IF that’s the case, that leaves us:

Lightfoot/Lowe/Pickett
Scroggins/TF/TF

I don’t see how adding a starting level Edge on Scroggins’ side scares away true freshmen or other impact level guys, but if they do leave, so be it?

It would be like saying don’t add Marion or CJ Daniels in 2025 because we’re scared of losing by Trader or some of the others. I disagree with the strategy, but hey, that’s what discussion is about.

Mind you, I like Lightfoot, Lowe, Scroggins, and love some of the incoming true Frosh as prospects.
Every elite program adds talent at every position regardless of who is already in the room. Miami does and needs to operate the same way. History shows that players don’t leave just because a portal addition is brought in, they leave when it’s clear they won’t see the field at all and are not in rotation. Make them compete and earn their spot.

Is Bailey the most accurate of the bunch then? Or is Sorsby/Leavitt more accurate?
Leavitt is flat out an inaccurate and inconsistent passer. That's all over the NFL scouting reports. Very overrated. People are just putting wasaaay too much stock in the fact he was carried by a devastating running game by Cam into the playoffs in 24. He's probably the worst passing QB out of all of them. We need an accurate passing QB to keep teams from stacking the box on our running game. A run fist QB like Leavitt is not a good fit for us.

CJ is the player carrying NCST.

Was about to say you were tripping, but I guess you meant Run Downs.... Thought you were saying Pass "Rushing" downs, and I was like he's already been doing that all year.

Correct, I don’t see Blount moving inside on run downs. Moten Scott and Simpson will be all conference level IMO. So why move Blount inside except on passing downs?

I like Sorsby's skillset and need to watch him more in depth. This is not a Bailey over Sorsby post because I haven't watched enough Sorsby to say that.

But just for some context on Bailey's age, here are their stats through their first two years in college:

CJ Bailey- 22 starts, 5,297 yards (68%), 7.9 YPA, 40 TDs, 19 INTs, 494 rushing yards, 10 rushing TDS
Brendan Sorsby- 10 starts, 1,587 yards (57%), 6.6 YPA, 15 TDs, 6 INTs, 268 rushing yards, 4 rushing TDs

Bailey is still a young player who has been on a steep upward trajectory since high school. I don't know why people think he's hit his ceiling.
Because he couldn’t lead an offense to more than 60 yards against us

People will never forget that performance

I bet we will make a move sometime in January after we see what the freshman does on greentree.

You can lose 1 game max if you don’t get into the conference championship game.

Losing 2 games like this year and not getting in the conference championship is not going to work with Notre Dame getting an auto bid.

I agree when you put it like that. I’m just saying that you could lose two games as long as you made it to the conference championship game and won it. That’s not ideal obviously.

Also, let’s just see how that auto bid **** plays out. I can’t imagine that anybody else is happy about that.

You think Beck wasn't a much bigger "circus"? I mean I literally don't hear about Raiola except for when hes imitating Mahomes... I mean I havent heard people saying he's a bad leader and a social media dude due to who he's dating...
I get the whole Cavinder thing and as that proves and as Jason Kelce is proving, women can **** you up in the head.

But he had 5 years prior on no issues and he course corrected. Players and coaches love him.

Can’t say the same about Raiola at Nebraska but it’s also Nebraska so I am willing to look past certain things.

We can definitely get in with two losses as long as we win the ACC. We got in this year with two losses and no ACC championship but I think it’s an anomaly this year. Also, I’d guess that the CFP moves to 16 games. It might even be possible to have 3 losses and win the ACC and get in if there’s an expanded playoff. I know Bama got in with 3 losses this year but SEC favoritism is a thing there.
