No question family has a lot to do with it too. Its not just ONE thing. But I think this will be the determining factor IMO. Kid wants the ball. He wants to play NOW. Duke and Yearby both hurt, he's an EE. He comes in, and COULD be the #1 back in the Spring already. IMO that is the deal maker if we do flip him.

ALl the other things factor in too, but IMHO, IF we pull this off, is because he suddenly sees CLEAR blue skies on the depth chart here for him.

Ya'll need to remember that the same weekend UM has an open practice to the public that Cook says they'll be at so show all the recruits love
 
Golden needs to get another in home to counter Jimbo going in last. This weekend will be HUGE. Im guessing AG will have Donna on standby to meet with Cook and family, show off her pictures with Obama, talk about how the U is the premier school in Florida now, 100K education, the AG and Coley putting the tag team on DC. This weekend is when it will happen or not.

Tell you what, all you "fans" thinking about going to the open practices to boo Coach D, you better STFU, take some signs telling DC to stay home, to really REP the 305, this is home, this is "Family", its the U against the World. Make the kid feel wanted, make him feel like the fans believe in this program ans where its headed.
 
FANS need to show up and show the team and recruits some LOVE at those practices. If I hear that some d*ckheads were out there booing when we got kids like Cook and Dixon there on the fence and we could be SO close to grabbing them, I might put a hammer through someone's skull.

Nope, but it allows unlimited contact and for Golden to mention him in public (to the media, etc).

Meh, I dont think those things matter as much. Jimbo has not had his inhome with DC yet, so that is where they will hope to close on him. Problem is, DC has never visited here, so he hadnt met with Golden in a sit down. Since he's an EE, we are running out of time, that is why AG used it now, then hoping to get him on campus, he gets another crack at him. If we get him to sign the Fin Aid agreement, then we get ANOTHER chance to counter Jimbo's last minute shot at Cook.

Ill tell you this, F*CK anyone who says AG let this kid get away. Staff is pulling out ALL the stops to get this done.

5 weeks my @ss. For what? Rehabbing sure. He's not going to be ready to play in 5 weeks. I dont believe anything a recruit's camp says at this stage after an injury. I dont doubt that the fracture may not be severe, etc.. but if the Doc said it might take 4 months, I doubt the family is going to say that, they will put the best spin on it possible. That's not to say that he may not be ready to play in the fall, just that between the injury, and Cook being an EE, he will almost certainly leapfrog Yearby on the depth chart.

As for Duke, we dont know what we dont know. That was a nasty break. He had surgery. Even if he does come back healthy, there is no way he's going to be able to handle 25-30 carries a game less than a year removed from a broken ankle and surgery. Whoever is #2 is going to be getting a LOT of carries.

I have no doubt there are other factors playing into this, but I just think its interesting that with Duke and now Yearby hurt, Cook is having this last minute coming to Jesus moment where suddenly we may have a shot, after having all but ignored us all year.

So no matter what yearbys camp said you weren't going to believe? So instead youre speculating instead of using the information given?

Cook isn't making a decision based off a couple of injuries. Cook said he would OV before the yearby injury and it should be expected after we send in coley, golden, and Hurlie that cook's interest will rise. Not to mention our three best recruiters got to work on his family in addition to cook himself. Add that to his bro Burnett, his boys Yearby, and Darling in his ear as decision day come around the increase in miami is expected. Remember we have been on him the hardest for a long time. The pursuit is just paying off now.

This weekend is all he needs with the family, friends and location working
 
This is going to be a battle till the day he enrolls at a school it wouldn't even surprise me if he picked one at the state game and then flipped at the under amour game

I read some article saying some big @ss white boy f*cked up COok's visit hurling beer bottles at Dorito, and I aint even gonna have to come holla at ya bruh, furreal, dey gon be some pipe hittin ****** down in that jaunt puttin in some work.
