Yeah, that new FA rule for EE's is almost unfair for local kids. Hard to compete with a school that can just sit on a kid.

ITS HAPPENING PT 2/THEY MAD

Stampini is the man... Best recruiting analyst in the SoFla market. Not sure if he was making a prediction from a gut feeling or if he was told something. (couldn't read the article) Stock saying it means nothing..

White knighting for a Gata? You foolish, sucka.

Pete and Nate Adelson are better than Stampini.

David lake, another UM writer, also predicted cook today. Hope they aren't just being homers lol.

You may be right. A damned travesty. And I think when he left Grassy, he said he was writing a book or some such...and started ITU about 15 minutes later.

Eric ****erson took the Trans AM from Texas A&M and still signed with SMU

Of course SMU gave him a big bag of cash too, but still

Suzy Wilkoff, the UM recruiting coordinator in the early '80's, was recruiting coordinator before that at SMU, the year they pulled in ****erson.

She was involved in that '83 class at the U, the one that brought in Jerome Brown and some others.

She was really more of the recruiting secretary, set up visits and trips, etc., but was very involved.

Maybe we need her expertise now. I wonder what she's doing these days. She was working for one of the airlines after she left the U.

Can someone explain the logic behind this?

If a potential student athlete signs a financial aid agreement, it allows the school unlimited contact and the ability to speak about the recruit in public. These guys are mad because if Cook signs a FAA with us, we can visit every day for as long as we want, go on the radio and talk about Cook and how great he would be, etc. They mad.

Gotcha, thanks.

If I'm understanding it correctly, it's only allowed to be used with EE's?

So now if we have a target that is enrolling early and lives in south Florida, we can pretty much deploy the staff to swing by on their way home as much as we want. Meanwhile, Muschamp and Jimbo are mad because they're 5-7 hours away pounding on their desk, while Al tests the structural integrity of a plastic covered chair and drinks sweat tea with Ms. Cook.
