Charlier Strong and Texas

I can say I do not see any NFL players on Texas' squad. RS had some and they were all on his side of the ball. Golden walked into an 11 win team and incredibly underachieved but was lauded for the players not giving up, when he was the anchor causing them to sink. Strong and Golden did not have the same situation. Wow some of you all kill a guy real soon. Too bad this discernment was as obvious to you as it should have been with Al. Maybe he would not have received an extension after getting throttled by a garbage BC squad.

Man you are so simple. It bothered me because out of our last three hiring a Al was the most experience HC but had a less than stellar career coaching Temple. It bothered me he won 8 or 9 games and still wasn't invited into a bowl. It bothered me that his 2nd round safety at Yemple was cut like before week 2 of his rookie year(exaggeration but he was cut extremely early). Don't come here with your simple idiotic assessment. Race is never a demonstrated subject within any of my posts. I grew up a UM fan in 97. As far as I can remember RS was the only black HC. If I was fan before he was a coach when we were on real probations then why will race be an issue now? Your simple mind can't grasp that I just never thought Al was good. When y'all was celebrating the signing of 5 second 40 wideouts I was like Amari Cooper is in our back yard.

Oh and by the way, Butch and Jimmy will always be my favorite UM coaches. Race has nothing to do with it.
 
We need a winner not a loser. If stron was white u would even think of it.

It's the CLASSIC "victim" defense. It's everyone elses fault that Charlie sucks. It's Mack Browns fault. It's the players fault. It's "not the right fit". He "got ambushed".

Oh I but I never said he should be the coach here. I just said, I don't think he is a bad coach. I don't know how he'll do. However, I do think he is good. It's too early to tell in my opinion. I think by next year they should be making some noise like 9 wins at Texas with at least 2 upsets.

Yea I was surprised by that decision. His team played really close against two ranked opponents the past two weeks. I thought I'll see more fight in the team. I'll be honest, I wouldn't send my kickers on the field at all during the game. I really thought he would try to get some points on the board before half time.
 
It's hard to reconcile this with that Louisville squad that looked like an old school Canes team when they kicked our *** in that bowl game and UiF's *** the year before.

They played in a **** conference and he had a lot of talent. They won 1 game vs a top 25 team in those 2 years (UF in the bowl game). Lost to a 8-5 Cuse team and 5-7 UConn team at home.

Yea and too be honest his offense was conservative at UL. I don't care if it's 4 and 200 he needs to go for it. He needs to go insane. Onside kick for the rest of the game. Now is not the time to be technical.

Some coaches just can't handle the big jobs. The pressure, expectations, tougher schedule.....Rich Rod, Strong......these clowns can't handle the big time.

Petrino built lousiville into a great program.

Strong brought in Clint Hurrt to pay players and get hookers.

He beat Florida in a meaningless bowl game and thats it.
