Vegas already has Johnny Ruiz as the prohibitive favorite to replace JD circa 2027.

Like I just said, I'm a Rad guy but THIS type of hire is actually something someone here in semi-retirement would pull.

According to sources, apparently Temple University was about to offer their head baseball coaching job to JD Arteaga. Rad wanted to make sure he didnt make the same mistake as his predecessor. According to Rad's office, hiring Arteaga now may have saved UM $4 million in buyout costs.

Sounds like Rad is on top of this stuff. So good to finally have a competent AD in the building.

lol well at least our facilities are nice. maybe after him, we can have a legit AD who can hire the right people. i still think going after the former UCF AD who is now at UTenn i think was the right move. oh well.
