Canes fans were duped

**** no. Tell me why the coaches in texas don't play this bullcrap? there is a ton of talent in texas. these kids commit early and for the most part keep their word. The answer is the coaches in south florida are not right

We have an excellent coach. If he leaves, it would not be a bad thing to have a black coach as long as
he has all the skills necessary to be a successful college coach. Shannon lacked most, if not all the essential skills to be a successful coach.

Regardless of the coach's race, these types of problems with HS coaches will always exist to some extent.
 
Sands nailed it. Good call on the players winning games, not coaches. Randall really set the world on fire with his 2008 juggernaut of a class.

Also makes sense when Timothy came out with all that "he has to honor his word" bull**** about Thomas' USC visit. He's salty that his boy sucked as a coach and got **** canned, and Al refused to keep him on board. I wonder if he marches the sidelines in heels. ******.

Of course not...but small college towns don't have this kind of talent all over the place either.

Quite a few posters thought Ice Harris would cause problems once we let him go during the staff change.

Considering he hasn't yielded a single positive result for the University yet...OP might be on to something. A shame, too...because Ice is very respected in the Overtown area. It doesnt help when you have some other former 'Canes still in the area that didn't exactly have good runs here, either.

That's the thing. The only people you see back stabbing the University are the individuals who were here during the abortion years.
 
Ask nick Saban if he could win a championship with subpar players. And stop hating on those kids they put their heart and soul in the U and for you guys to keep taking pot shots at them is extremely disrespectful. They didn't have the success they wanted to but that's life, get over it and stop bringing these guys names up in a negative light.

If they want to put on their big boy pants and enter the real world, I'm sure Al would talk, but if you want to be a ***** and play childish games, then take that attitude to another team and leave your friends and family behind. It's time to grow up. Why would anyone want this kind of soft mentality on their team? Why would anyone want a player of a coach with that kind of soft mentality. Teenage girls play these games. Coaches, Linemen and Linebackers??? GTFOH

I don't get how Randy has any Rangers left. I thought they moved to TCU, or ECU or Arkansas.

The problem is Ice should be sucking the d!ck here and not the other way around. Ice as a HS football coach should be trying to get as many of his kids into college (on a football scholarship) as possible. Ice should want his kids to get the opportunity to go to college for free to get an education. To do that, he should be making as many relationships as possible in order to place his kids in those scholarships. He shouldn't be such a ________ and burn those relationships (i.e. speak out about it to the media).

You act like Ice saved this kid from some terrible situation. Oh no that kid almost went to a top 50 Private School Institution, could you imagine how terrible that would have been.

He should have (LIKE A MAN) gone to Golden or give him a call.

So Ice needs to be the adult and stop being a ****.

Those high school coaches HOLD ALL THE CHIPS down there. Wether fans want to realize it or not.they will directly/indirectly sway a kid to another school in a hot minute. Believe that. Lol they have meetings about what schools/coaches aren't welcome and wont be let in at some of the schools down there. UM isn't on top at the moment. Can't dictate. Not EVERY kid has an agent/handler/uncle scooter, but quite a few do. So that has to be dealt with as well. Golden was an OUTSIDER coming in, that's pretty much dealt with. Especially with Coley, rich, and Cristobal on staff now. Luke will NEVER change. But sometimes he needs to be smoothed over, because he is a mentor and has/will taken care of ALOT of kids down there. ITS A MESS.
 
Al is VERY meticulous, no way he makes this move without a motive or a reason for doing so. It's time we moved away from all the local coaches and uncle Luke bs. Times have changed.
