Canes Fans Not From South Florida

Born and raised and still live in Chicago. Cane fan since I was a teen and caught a glimpse of this band of bad *** players that included a fellow Italian Vinny Testaverde. Being from Chicago there is nothing but freakin Notre Dame on the college football front and I knew early on I hated those guys.

I've since rooted on this team from afar and raised my son to be a Cane fan. He's as hard core as me now and has his application in to the U as one of his finalists to start as a college freshman in 2015!

Most Chicago fans are just plain meatballs so I have come to love the hate I get for being a Hurricane fan. Bring it on!

Dad went to PSU and I was 6 when we played them in the National Champ game....I was rooting against my dad ( being a brat) then the next year the bucs got vinny and i was hooked.

Born on Long Island, family moved to Miami in the early 70s, I was 4 yrs old. Lived in S. FL until I graduated from college, live in N suburb of Atlanta now.

Born and raised in Toronto. Growing up in the 90's Canadian TV stations only really showed Notre Dame, Miami, Michigan and FSU games. Chose Miami just because I liked Santana Moss.

GA till the day that I die! Never knew my pops but I take it he was a Canes fan. When I started watching cfb when I was about 8 or 9, the only team I wanted to watch was the Canes and wear Canes gear. My momma literally told me when I was 9, (after she realized my diehard fandomness), that I would kick uncontrollably in the womb when the Canes were on TV. So I guess its safe to say that Ive been a Cane since before birth!

Born on campus of Washington State U, grew up in northwest Montana. Saw the Canes on tv when I was about 5 or 6 (82-83), been a fan ever since.

From West GA (about an hour SW of Atlanta), now I'm stationed in Southern California.

Graduated from Georgia Tech, no ties to UM

Been a cane fan since early 90s. It's my team. Always will be.

born in gainesville florida, currently live 40 minutes east of it

oh boy, wut fun

I used to the most die hard gator fan, but I had no idea who the canes were until 2000 when they showed up on the scene ( I started following college football in 96 when the gators played FSU )

in 2001 I was starting to feel a change, I found myself watching the hurricanes and gators games. Then something flipped and it's never been the same I can't even explain it.

I've tried rooting for the gators numerous times since because I'm supposed to be a gator, I mean I was born dead center in their heart. But i'm just not...

Born and raised in Freeport, NY (Long Island). Moved to SoFla after my tour in the Navy, and my first college football game ever was wide right II. Think it was about 247 degrees that day. Where I was from college football was an afterthought to the pros. St. Johns? Syracuse? C'mon. Once I had a taste of the real deal, there was no doubt. Live in **** right now in Birmingham, AL. Beautiful area, especially this time of year, but all I get is the Malzahn/Satan suckfest all day everyday. Go Canes! Go...UAB?

Born and raised in Northern Virginia outside D.C. Been a Cane's fan since 2001. That team made me love football. I went to George Mason and wanted a D-1 team to cheer for and jumped on the bandwagon and never left. I have to deal with knuckle head Tech, PSU and Terps fans in this area. I started a new tradition to go down for a home game every year with my wife. I went to GT last year and Cincy this year. I am planning on Nebraska next year. I also go to Charlottesville when the Canes play UVA.

Born just outside of Philadelphia, chose to attend Miami over a couple other good schools, but there was never really a decision to be made. Knew I was a Cane the second I stepped foot on campus, if not earlier (and got accepted thank god..)
