By the numbers: Doubting Miami's D?

Do the stats compute a category for getting your **** pushed in on 3rd downs? No doubt we are top 5 in the countryby that metric.

Here's some stats for yo ***! Our record against ranked teams! Record number yards given up by Doritos units! Dominated by Louisville in Bowl game and opener! Close rate on top SoFl talent! Lack of player development! You can do all the data mining and statistical analytics you want to protect Al and Dorito, but the numbers that tell the story are the ones on that jumbotron after meeting a top team!

If we have some so far on Defense, let's see it on Saturday. Let's see this defense hold UNC to less than 20.

Fsu played a hard schedule???? When

When they played Oklahoma State on a neutral sight to open the year, Clemson, a top 5 Notre Dame team, and a really talented Lousville team on the road.

That's four losses for us right there.

We've played that same Louisville team who kicked our *** and a pretty good Nebraska team.

The schedules don't compare, so it's a pointless comparision.

Again, stupid metric. Duke does more for our SOS than Clemson does for FSU, based on the cupcake schedule they've played to pad their record.

Both Duke and Notre Dame are 6-1, and contribute the same SOS wise based on the NCAA formula. Whose a tougher game?

FSU is also undefeated, they've contributed losses to the teams they've played, "hindering" their SOS. We've lost 3 times, "boosting" the records of who we played, strengthening our SOS.

The only number that matters is 3 loses before October is over and the irrelevance that comes with that.

And we have 3 losses.

I don't watch any Louisville, but I'd have a tough time labeling FSU's offense mediocre. It's tough to keep them below 35 with Winston. I hope they are mediocre because maybe that'll give us a chance, but I think most would agree that we'll need to score about 35 to beat that team.

I just saw 2 aggressive defenses with a lot of Florida/Miami talent get lit up for 500+

Against impressive offenses, not mediocre offenses.

Fsu is ranked 69 in total O, Louisville 85th. We are 43rd. Yardage wise, we're more impressive than both.

FSU has played a tougher schedule. They are still an elite offense.

Parker coming back for Louisville changes everything and he proved it tonight.

schedule ranks, from sagarin.

FSU 41
Louisville 66
Miami 23

find somethig else... you might make a correct point if you keep trying.

Right and see my point why that is a stupid metric.

Also your numbers look completely off, unless I'm completely misinterpreting the layout of these rankings.

Most recent rankings as of October 25 show FSU-13, Miami-29.

If you have to explain why the defense doesn't suck with that much detail and analysis and depth, then most likely your defense sucks mile long *****.
