LOL, Dean’s Cup. My first experience at what ******** lawyers were, and they were just law students at the time!
I ******* hate lawyers.

That said every year I'd come out of running hibernation just to embarrass the doctors at the 5k.

I ******* hate lawyers.

While you are not factually incorrect, I was also shocked by how much the Med students cheated. At least when I was in law school. Maybe it's because you guys went to school for longer, and had more time to plot...

100%. Club Lacrosse uses those fields as well as other club sports and getting access is tight. The marching band uses them. Dorm intramurals as well. There is ALWAYS student organizations on them. Quite frankly they don't have enough IM fields. There would be no benefit to take them unless there is a plan to move them to the other side of campus near Granada which would be away from the heart of campus. A lot of the student body would be rightfully ****ed. Some of our porsters fail to realize those fields serve the other 11 thousand students and Miami ultimately is trying to have more students living on campus. An on campus vibrant student life is very important in a competitive landscape to draw the best.
The "Band of the Hour" and the music school at large can go straight to ****. Disband the dork squad and bulldoze the school!

Excuse me. I just have ptsd from living in Stanford facing the IM fields and them practicing at the asscrack of dawn when I just got home from the Grove 2 hours earlier. Thank God at least the shutters in those dorm rooms were legit black-out ones.

Hahaha. I completely forgot about Dean's Cup! Led me to reminisce about some hijinx around President's Cup.

Lived in both South Miami and Glenvar Heights. The South Miami board has been a disfunctional **** show since forever. They had a year's worth of meetings about the "***** pack man" taking parking fees at a garage, and don't get me started on their taking 25 years to build a public pool.

Wouldn't pin my hopes on anything happening with the city and the Canes.
This sounds intriguing for someone who no longer lives in Miami....what is the tale regarding "***** Pack Man"?

You are assuming the shutters still work.

Oh, they built a city parking garage a few years back, before paybyphone, and who ever ran the garage had some random guy with a ***** pack collecting money at the entrance. The was all this intrigue about who ***** pack man was, was he skimming money, why were they doing it that way, etc. etc. Went on for months at every commission meeting.

The commission had all sorts of drama - assault charges, wives of commissioners lobbing f-bombs at each other at meetings. The mayor had ethics violations, and then voted for the city to pay for his defense, which is another ethics violation. I think the city manager was arrested for corruption.

It was appointment television for a while.

I don’t know that expanding the IPF field is actually on the table right now. Have you heard anything about that?

That’s what I thought. I’m thinking about the building as it is right now, and I don’t even know how you do that without at least some demo, there’s really no room or they would’ve done it when it was first built. I don’t think it’s anything that is important anyway.

Yeah, the guy is a complete clown. The IM Fields were made LARGER from when I was an undergrad when the Army Armory building was torn down. My best friend from HS and UM roommate was in the Band of the Hour, I absolutely know they used the IM Fields in the afternoon, as the fields are right next to...the School of Music, where all the instruments and uniforms are stored.

Sports Fest. Dean's Cup. Club sports. You name it, the IM Fields get used. But, sure, since we need land so badly, why don't we just combine the usage for Greentree and the IM Fields. The football team can use the fields before 5 pm, and then CSR can use the fields after 5 pm. I'm sure there won't be ANY problems with this efficient use of land, right? I mean, grass grows back, right?

This OGH moron probably drove down San Amaro once at 9 am and assumed the IM Fields are never used. I'm done with this clown, he's just trying to cover up for his stupidity (when he agreed with the other porster who claimed that the IPF will be expanded into the IM Fields). I notice that the other moron hasn't tried to double down on his mistake.
Wrong. I used to cut across the IM fields on a regular basis to get to Red Rd and/or the convenience store. Also, used to use the field to run sprints 4-5x a week after leaving the WC. Never once has it been "Packed". The closest it has been to packed was when the frats had their field day thing. How about you post a picture of the IM fields being "packed" because I can sure post a ton of pictures, in the middle of the day, during the school year, with the IM fields being relatively empty.

Also, I never "agreed with the other poster". You still can't quote that post, because it is just one of your made up lies.

Yeah, sorry, track. And anything else in the way of fixing the football operations to resemble a major program. Real estate is at an absolute premium and we need the operations Mario is setting up to be top notch.

If they were to cut the size of the IM fields, it would require tighter scheduling, but it could easily be done. Again, you are right in the fact that those fields are rarely utilized, outside of the weekends when sororistutes are laying out trying to get that tan working. I played IM football on those fields and even when you had multiple games working, you had plenty of space. In fact, they always had one or two fields open during that.

That said, I had a brain fart earlier, I mentioned the IM fields being the site of the expansion, when in reality, that wouldn't the case. They want to expand the IPF, that much is certain. When the school was first looking into building an IPF, the theory was that they wanted to build on the IM fields, and the facilities guys weren't going for it. I got two different events mixed up and that's on me.

This is why I'm happy I never lived in the towers. I lucked out and lived in Mahoney/Pearson my first two years, before moving off campus. My sister on the other hand, not so lucky.

That is fine man. No worries everyone makes mistakes here and there. I agree. Even with the tanning. A lot of girls even go over to the front door of stanford and tan on that little porch like area. There is plenty of space if needed.

I mean I'm still friends to this day with several people from my freshman year in the towers but nooooo doubt were they an absolute ****hole. I absolutely believe I never got da Rona due to the immunities my body built up just from the showers in Stanford alone and wearing flip flops in the Tavern men's room.

The New OB should go downtown next to LDP, but I can see Tropical Park becoming an elite multi-sport complex for local HS and select College Athletics. Respect to Ruiz though, because visionaries have to see what no one else can sometimes.

IDK about when you went, but in the 2010s hecht had WAY more hot girls than M/P or Stanford. Stanford was the absolute worst though. IDK how they managed to pull it off, but somehow they packed all the ugly freshman girls into Stanford. I think it has something do with them sticking all the engineering and similar major girls into Stanford, but I am not 100% sure on that.

The towers will be demolished & reconstructed horizontally in their current location.
