Easy. He was a dumb*** cheap hire that the BOT a-holes could control.
Hate to break it to you but BOTs control any AD.

Again, that’s why I said I try not to be a prisoner of a single moment. That UNC game is what happens when, for whatever rzn you show up and don’t handle biz, play out of position, play hero ball on the edges and trenches instead of playing your assignment. That being said there needs to be changes made when something like that happens. We all understand that.“At the same time we won eight games and I’m very happy with the success that we had on the field and the success we had overall. I want to win all our games. I guess what I’m saying is I’m not any more disappointed in the loss to North Carolina coming on Dec. 12th than I would have been had we lost to them on Oct. 9."
Lack of awareness. Losing to them when we did cost us a trip to the Orange Bowl not to mention it.continues a trend of losing big, national spotlight games. It absolutely makes a difference that we lost to them in December and not October. It was literally the biggest game we played the entire season.
He said he was disappointed. Okay is that like when Sisan Collins says she disappointed? He's been saying he disappointed for almost a decade. Its safe and meaningless.
There's also the part where the AD of the University of Miami is gloating about beating the CUSA champion UAB.
You're right, we shouldn't be a prisoner of the moment. This is more than a moment. This is a trend of downplaying expectations and embracing mediocrity from a loser AD. If you wanna cape for Blake and see the interview as no big deal, cool. Good to know.
I dont expect us to be National Champions any time soon, but I do expect us to not get embarrassed by teams like UNC. The blasé attitude to the losses from the top are an indicator as to why it continues to happen. There is an approach as if there are no stakes to wins and losses that is worrisome.
Im going to double down by mentioning an organization i could care less for. The Steelers football philosophy comes from the top. Entrenched for several decades. This leaves no doubt why every four years they're successful. Administration sets the culture...AD sets the culture. Major fail...
Vanilla answers.
The only insight is that Blake expects Manny to make adjustments.
That’s a very conflicting statement on what that quote means lol. As for the rest I don’t try and partake in heresy and I also don’t pretend to be a insider and spread these fan theories. I think what happened to Miami football is less of a conspiracy. It’s the simple fact of what complacency does to any business, person, etc. we stayed complacent while the CFB world around us changed (early to mid 2000s) . And now we are playing a game of catch-upOn the HC topic, we can always find a diamond in the rough. So hyping all those cats you mentioned are not my style. On the rest you posted, it's spot on. This place is full of miserable random fans. We can acknowledge that the AD department hasn't put football first since they put the bball team in its place as a priority and joined the Big East.
No conflict at all, son. Some young blood out there has all the attributes and qualities of all the guys you mentioned. Its the AD's job to find them. A one day hire doesn't give the optics that due diligence was done. Once again, your 2nd part of the post does makes sense...That’s a very conflicting statement on what that quote means lol. ....Before Richt was hired, I sent him a tweet encouraging him to get us an IPF. That POS replied by stating I should send the first check. LOL
I had no interest in reading it either. He’s not worth the effort of clicking the article, waiting for it to download, dealing with pop ups, then reading it.Honestly I couldn’t bring myself to reading the interview , I’m just here for the comments boss.
If it was so easy, FSU wouldn’t be in the **** it’s. VA tech wouldn’t be in the position it’s in since Beamer had it rolling. UCLA would’ve stayed relevant, Oregon would Kept rolling after chip. USC would be the destination job it’s meant to be and Texas wouldn’t be wondering if their 100 mill dollar investment wasn’t a waste. And Aside from UCLA all those programs i mentioned has had its deal of more success Then us the past 15 years. Just goes to show, finding the right fit at HC for a program is not an exact science. And **** manny might very well not be the guy but you don’t know that’ until you know. Because if it was an exact science a guy like Dabo never makes it where he’s at nowNo conflict at all, son. Dont settle for mediocrity like all those programs you mentioned. With that said., i agree with the Manny part. He just might be that diamond in the rough. Guy has a big time learning curve and for some of the nonsensical folk its to much....If it was so easy, FSU wouldn’t be in the **** it’s. Well, to be fair, it was a huge step up from an active cancer as President. Like climbing out of meteor hole into a more shallow atom bomb hole.Runs even deeper; the University of Miami's Board of Trustees and overall attitude of football is the cancer and Blake James is the symptom.
It's the BoT that is "satisfied" with James—overlooking his lack of football prowess because he checks off a few good boxes as a fundraiser.
Having a non-football president like Dr. Julio Frenk is no win for the program, either.
So many tried to celebrate him being a "hands-off" guy—as it's better than a non-football "meddler" type actively sabotaging the program—but having a passive president not actively trying to better the football department; no victory in that, either.
Easy on the hyperbole soulja slim...Don’t care what he says yet! As I know Manny has at least 2 more years minimum. What I’m more concerned about is what Manny will say after Ok State and Gundy put up a 500 yard game on us.
You’re right ErnieEasy on the hyperbole soulja slim...
Agree. But we’ve seen the ceiling. He’s it.Everyone hates the guy. So everything he says gets him skewered.
