Would it tho? He's already been fired twice in he NFL. I don't see him sniffing an OC gig anytime soon (he next wave will be from the McDaniel, Shanahan tree).

He wants to call plays, his only near term option is his alma mater (assuming Mario would want him).

Do you really think that’s his ONLY option?

Seems like a bunch of schools would take him as play caller. The only question is whether he even wants to coach college ball.

To call plays? Yes.

He can get another pro QB Coach job for sure, but he will not be calling plays any time soon in the NFL.

Maybe not. But my point is that, if he’s willing to take a college job, then Miami is probably not his only option as a play caller.

Once your in the club, some NFL team will give you another shot, especially coming from this buf a lo/Allen mess.
 
our offense is bad because our coaches haven't been able to scheme up an offense around our turnover prone QB

and the thought here is, in order to help this problem, we should hire a guy who just got fired because he was unable to scheme up an offense around his turnover prone QB

There isnt a single person who would ask for this if this guy didn't play QB here 2 decades ago. It only makes sense here because its exactly the kind of decision this AD has made over and over and over again for the last 20 years. In fact, Its the exact kind of logic that landed us this HC
