Bethel tweet re: Lane...

I would be surprised if Floridas offense isn't miles better then it was last year.... Driskell is going to be better and they have some stud receivers. I jus think a player like Lane is going to get his numbers anywhere.

The problem I have with him is he comes off like he wants to go to a school that is going to give him the starting job and I know that ain't how miami rocks.

I was unimpressed...I think a lot of people were.

It could've been b/c I watched him toss up a Gator chomp though. I'm not too proud to admit that sometimes that kinda stuff sways my opinion of a player.

I didn't watch the Opening and I'm not saying that you are wrong, but why were some people mentioning him as one of the top performers there?

what stud wrs do they have?

Driskell looks the same as he did in high school actually to me......dude just holds on to th eball and is gunshy which is never good.

The times he was televised he underwhelmed. He wasn't creating much separation.
 
Give me Dixon for a str8 up trade for Lane and I'm good. If he doesn't wanna be a Cane, he can suck an egg like the rest of em

I would take Lane in a heartbeat. Now if we end up with Dixon and Langham, I will be just as happy.
 
Lane is gonna pick UF because he wants to be there. Whatever the reason is who ****** cares. I really don't think he's scared of our depth chart, he just knows it's immediate playing time at Florida. He also seems to like Will Grier a lot & have the bonus of playing with Quincy in college. Just move on, he ain't comin here.

Its obvious Lane is scared of the comp at WR at UM.



And what bonus would playing on the same team as Quincy do for him?

I know they are boys, but that kid openly disses Lane's supposed "dream school" on social media like a butthurt little girl b/c Miami didn't offer him.

So why would Lane want to tie his (possible all-star) future to someone as weak minded as Quincy?



Don't get me wrong, I would love to land Lane and Dixon and call it a day at WR, but if Lane doesn't want to come in and EARN serious reps as a freshman(which I know he can do) just like every other player on our team, then I would gladly take a WR class of Langham,(hopefully) Dixon, and (hopefully) Berrios.




Before Quincy made an a$$ out of himself on twitter and dissing The U to anyone who would listen to him, I would have liked to see him in this class, but only as a Safety.
Kid is def not a CB, coaches will lie to him to get him to commit #1 b/c they know they will just switch him to Safety after the first practice or two just like so many in the past, and #2 b/c these coaches want to get their foot into University school by signing some of their highly regarded players mainly so they can have a shot at the real prize at University school 2015 RB Jordan Scarlett, yet Quincy and his pops are just too dumb to see that his future is at Safety and not CB.

You're delusional and pay way too much attention to tweets. Quincy purposely trolls hurricane fans like you to get them mad. Why would lane be scared of the WR depth? Our wrs are overrated by our fans, no one else sees them like we do. Yes the talent is their to be a top ten WR core in the nation, but they haven't proved it on the field yet. Quincy is a tweener, better fit at S but that's doesnt mean he can't play corner. He is a good corner prospect and put up better agility numbers than I expected. We wanted Marshall Faulk at CB, he wanted to play RB. Manziel and RG3 were recruited as ATH. Look what happened there. Then you have a case like Anthony Barr, said he would never play defense, UCLA turned him into a LB and now he's a top 15 pick. All the situations are different, if he believes he's a corner and winky believes he a qb let them be. Schools have given them athletically scholarships at those respective positions so let then make their decision. UF isn't really a package deal school like FSU, and getting Quincy wouldn't guarantee them scarlet at all. Quincy doesn't get 40 ****** offers because the coaches want Jordan Scarlett, that makes no sense. You as well as other people take the dream school term way too serious. These kids sometimes have more than one dream school growing up. Kaaya even said he loved USC, Texas, & Miami growing up. All "dream schools" if you say. Now look how solid he is to miami. Like I said lane is going to UF because he wants to be there, looking at all factors. I don't think he's scared of UM depth but knows that UF is a quicker way to playing time for him. I really don't think lane, Lammons, or any other prospects care what Quincy tweets. It just makes miami fans look worse for bashing the kid when he never even had an offer.

i said a while back he didn't want to go to the U because we had so much depth at wide receivers

Everyone in S. Florida knows this. It's like comparing D. Wade to Michael Jordan. One's very talented and one is on another level of greatness. Stacy Coley is possible the best Football Player to come out of S. Florida since Duke. Maybe one kid each cycle is THAT talented. This season the best kid in S. Florida is Sony. My money on the best would be Sony one and BTW's & future Miami Hurricane Thomas on the D side. imho.
