Battle for the Coastal

Make this easier:

1. Miami wins out, beats GaTech, at Pitt, at F$U, Louisville, at Duke, finishes 6-2 in ACC with losses to UNC and VaTech.
2. Virginia must lose ONE (preferably two) of Duke, at Louisville, at UNC, GaTech, VaTech.
3. UNC must lose TWO of at VaTech, Duke, Virginia, at Pitt, at NC State.
4. Duke would lose head-to-head tiebreak to Miami (assuming #1), so it would be nice to have them lose one of GaTech, at UVa, UNC, Syracuse, at Wake Forest.
5. Pitt would lose head-to-heat tiebreak to Miami (assuming #1), so it would be nice to have them lose one of at Syracuse, at GaTech, UNC, at VaTech, Boston College.
6. VaTech must lose ONE of UNC, Wake Forest, at GaTech, Pitt, at UVa.
---GaTech is out (assuming #1).

So, for Week 7:
4. Root for GaTech to beat Duke (completes #4).

For Week 8:
2. Root for Duke to beat UVa (completes #2).
5. Root for Syracuse to beat Pitt (completes #5).

That's it, take it one week at a time. UVa MUST lose 1, UNC MUST lose 2, VaTech MUST lose 1.

UVa plays VaTech, so one will lose. UVa plays UNC, so one will lose. UNC plays VaTech, so one will lose.
Also UVA is now without Bryce Hall. That secondary is going to get lit up by anyone with a Passing game.

4. Duke would lose head-to-head tiebreak to Miami (assuming #1), so it would be nice to have them lose one of: at UVa, UNC, Syracuse, at Wake Forest.
5. Pitt would lose head-to-heat tiebreak to Miami (assuming #1), so it would be nice to have them lose one of: at GaTech, UNC, at VaTech, Boston College.
6. VaTech must lose ONE of UNC, Wake Forest, at GaTech, Pitt, at UVa.
---GaTech is out (assuming #1).

For Week 8:
2. Root for Duke to beat UVa. [UVa favored by 3]
3. Root for VaTech to beat UNC and then VaTech to lose to Wake later. More helpful of 2 scenarios, and requires less help. [UNC favored by 3.5]
6. Root for UNC to beat VaTech, and then UNC must still lose 2. Less helpful of 2 scenarios, and requires more help. [UNC favored by 3.5]

For Week 9:
2. Root for Louisville to beat UVa.
3. Root for Duke to beat UNC.

For Week 10:
3. Root for UVa to beat UNC. And then forfeit the win.
5. Root for GaTech to beat Pitt.

Week 11:
2. Root for GaTech to beat UVa.
6. Root for Wake to beat VaTech.

UVa MUST lose 1, UNC MUST lose 2, VaTech MUST lose 1. UVa plays VaTech, so one will lose. UVa plays UNC, so one will lose. UNC plays VaTech, so one will lose.

the absolute most difficult part of all the scenarios is Miami winning out. All of that other stuff could easily happen. Miami winning out is the lowest % of all.
Not one doubt about it, our QB's would have to play perfect games from here on out, that's not going to happen. Not even counting the rest of the team has to get better.

If we handle our business (we won't) the rest of the way then all of our preseason goals are still ahead of us.

ACC Champion - Top Four CFP Ranking
If the ACC Champion is in the top four of the final CFP rankings, it will play in one of the national semifinal games.

ACC Champion - Not In Top Four CFP Ranking
If the ACC Champion is not in the top four of the final CFP rankings, it will appear in the Capital One Orange Bowl against the highest ranked available team from the Big Ten, SEC or Notre Dame following team selection by the Rose (Big Ten) and Sugar (SEC) Bowls.

Capital One Orange Bowl
The Capital One Orange Bowl will host the ACC Champion (or highest ranked ACC team not ranked in the top four against the highest ranked available team from the Big Ten, SEC or Notre Dame following team selection by the Rose (Big Ten) and Sugar (SEC) bowls.

VRBO Citrus Bowl/Camping World Bowl
If the ACC opponent in the Capital One Orange Bowl is from the Big Ten, then an ACC team will be selected for the VRBO Citrus Bowl. The Camping World Bowl has the first pick of an ACC team after the CFP, New Year’s Six Bowls and Citrus Bowl are filled.

The likelier outcome is we end up back in El Paso or NYC:

Why does ANY Hurricane fan post these bowl game possibliities? Seriously! There's still six games left on the schedule. So it behooves ANY Hurricane fan to at least post bowl game scenarios with two or three games left on the CORRUPT ACC slate. dUh At least then the post is relatively RELEVANT.

Lol. If you say so. 15 years should be a big enough sample size for any fan.

Guess some fans need 15 more years.

sure, but this coach hasnt had 15 years. ill wait for the dude to complete a year before i go **** on him. anyhow, it isnt like this fanbase is appreciative or satisfied with any coach here.

Why should we be? All i want is a coach to have miami in the top 25 every year and show that hes building something.

Manny has shown nothing that proves to me he is even that type coach. Definitely nothing that says elite.

Posters still dream. But this is a game to game scenario.
Which Miami team will show up?
Take each game, one at a time, while keeping your fingers crossed...

sure, but you know that hes going to be same coach when hes not 6 games into his career? theres zero shot he can develop into an elite or even above average HC? a little ridiculous to conclude that he will never succeed bc of a small sample. why dont we let him finish out his first year in full before we make sweeping judgments about his future at miami or elsewhere. say miami wins out, manny would finsih up with the same record as urban meyer did in their first year as an HC. not saying manny will win out, but just throwing out that possibility. the point is, we cant tell the future esp with someone w so few games under their belt as a head coach. if you thought he wouldnt have struggles, esp early on, with a 7-6 relying on a ton of youth, then not sure what to tell you.

it seems like half the board would rather manny fail just so they can be right about him. its kinda ridiculous bc we should hope manny does well bc that would mean miami does well.

In my book Elite .......means there are only two Coaches sporting that designation.
The two playing for all the marbles. Everyone else are just watching..
