Bat Signal UP!!! Purdue DT Branson Deen Transfers to Miami

View as article
Similar to Gore but proven against better comp

Doesn’t address all of our needs but still points to what we all know and have hoped, that Mario wants to rebuild this DL

OL recruiting outpacing DL obviously but the desire to upgrade completely feels the same

I swear people see any weight under 300 lbs and just disregard the player lmao

big pickup

The reality is that 6-1, 280 pound (or smaller) DTs generally aren’t super productive in college. And yes while everyone loves referencing the Aaron Donald exception, they are ignoring the reality that most productive DTs are much larger than Gore and Deen. I freely admit haven’t watched a lot of film on either so I’m happy to be proven wrong

Watched a little of his film looks quick and uses hands well. Will be solid and can hopefully hold up against the run. Probably better than LT56 but that will upset a lot of ppl here. Dude is a consistent contributor the last few years for Purdue. Should finish with 20+ tackles and a few sacks.
U said he’s better den LT56! U don lost ur **** mind or sun? U said some brazy **** on here & I mind my business but u really trippin now! The Maude’s need to band u for that kind of statement right there! That’s sun helluva **** u on where a u at!

A part you are ignoring is that he has played and started in the BIG and is probably 23 years old. IF nothing else he is a vet depth piece, which is needed.

he's 6'2 290 and he's not a high school recruit with no tape, he's a grad transfer who's made honorable mention in the big 10 the last two seasons and generated the 6th most pressures in the fbs (more than any of our big guys)

the reality is that whining about a 290lb DT is just absurd. the staff can throw ten pounds on him if they see fit before the season begins but being 290 is not a disadvantage in the ACC. the BIG 10 has much bigger and more talented OL fronts than the ACC does and this guy performed very well

You are either Taylor or related to taylor cause you defend him at all cost. Taylor makes plus and then disappears for games at a time. I hope he can put a full season together next year cause we need him.

Now to this comparison, let’s review each players stats. Based on stats….what makes you think Taylor is some superior player to Dean?
