Barry Jackson -update on the UM/Diaz situation later today.

This article said the bot is aware of Blake’s “panic hire” of manny. That’s not exactly a vote of confidence
And tolerance of that type of behavior is de facto acceptance/endorsement of that behavior.

The BoT gets the strategic direction of the University of Miami that they act, but more importantly do not act upon.

Silence/no decision is concurrence.

Blake is the one that could go either way , I just can’t see how he stays in that position if Mario comes. They can’t work together, theres also alot of support for Alonzo. I just don’t get how you can like his fundraising when winning makes fundraising take care of itself. **** 2018 there was a big jump in applications after the ‘17 season. Imagine an actual good season.
That’s what I can’t understand. A winning and competitive UM football team generates infinitely more revenue and brand awareness than any other opportunity cost.

If the university is gun shy on spending money I don’t know how he isn’t fired when it comes to cleaning up the mess that is Manny Diaz.

After every loss the buyout that we paid to Temple looks dumber and dumber

If we are going to be deciphering hidden messages why can’t “panic hire” have been code for “we gotta fire him” and “whose gonna pay for Mario” been code for “open your checkbook Epstein and DiMare”

Actually are we sure the bot isn’t Epstein and Horshack rather than Epstein and dimare? It sure seems like Epstein and horshack.

L

They made a lot more money if they cared about football and didn’t hire a need for just raising money. And I know a bunch of people that say he’s not even that great at that. He’s a god awful AD.
I know you’re not wrong.

👆How ironic the example used👇

You're missing the fact that Miami would be ponying up big dollars, as it doesn't have an alumni base that writes checks.

Georgia did a $200,000,000 investment into their athletic department a few years back—the majority coming from alumni-donated dollars—which UGA will see a return on their investment.

Miami isn't hat-in-hand poor, but there is a real issue for a private school with 11,000 undergrads and a fan base mostly made up of non-alum who don't write checks.

I'm an alum... won't give the school another penny until they show my hard earned money won't be ****ed away. That starts with Frenk, James, and Diaz getting their walking papers. I am more than positive that I am not alone.

I'm sure it is. Again, inaction by a body is a decision.

USC re: Helton reached a different conclusion.

One day, Miami's BoT will reach the same re: Flake und Manuela.

Zehr gut.

Coaching salaries is chump change compared to infrastructure and facilities, yet Miami has upgraded them considerably.

Miami isn’t that far away. They pay assistant already, and have spent $13M on the head coach these last 3 years. That’s well over $4m a year…They could’ve gotten much better than manny if they looked.

The problem isn’t money it’s who they spent that money on.

*$3m salary plus $4m to temple

It would even help with academics. Applications go way up when you have good sports (probably shouldn't matter, but it does) which allows the school to be more selective. Then you get better students, who get better jobs, etc.

This is why the banner flyers have always been right and part of the solution, while the latte drinking tut-tutters who look down on them have always been part of the palace guard.

The only thing that gets the attention of the BOT and Admin is the risk of embarrassment. If they think no one notices or cares that the program sucks, they'll go right on ignoring it.
Take a good look at this thread:

and the comments from users such as @No_Fly_Zone

Ethnic, your comment is a perfect description.

Banners mocked. Billboard truck mocked (which BTW, the original plan was a billboard on US1 and all set to go until Blake and his henchmen prevented the company from doing so. All of this have brought negative attention which is the only thing making them pay attention.

I’m a cpa and know how universities handle their books via fund accounting. They don’t use cash accounting, and with the ACC tv money it’s impossible for UM to be worried about affording Manny’s buyout and going out and grabbing a legit head coach.

Butch was Close to the Miller's dating back to when he was with JJ....Leonard passed in 2001....then Stu took over Lennar...
This is what I don’t understand if donors wrote checks and basically “hired” coaches back then… who says this hiring won’t be taken out of Blake’s hands.
