Barry Jackson reporting Lashlee Coming

With @dsddcane deleting his thread and now this news coming out, there is something very odd going on behind the scenes.

Its either:

1) For Manny and Blake to save face they wanted to announce OC before Alonzo was brought on board.

OR

2) To try and sabotage the Alonzo hire they leaked Lashlee news since they know he wanted a role in hiring the OC (now he could have been evolved all along as @LuCane mentioned, but I agree that would be interesting to say the least).

Or Dee was full of it.

I said if he wasn’t Manny’s 3rd or 4th option I have a problem with it. So many better guys out there. And a few out of the box guys that didn’t have a former starter at Texas playing against G5 kids.

Yost, Longo, Johns, Bedenbaugh, Bleymaier, Rich Rod, just to name a few.
You're a bit dense. Buechele was replaced as a junior by a kid who will probably play H-Back if he makes it to the next level. I live in Austin and I can tell you first-hand that he really wasn't good when he was at UT.

Aside from Clemson, you could make an argument that the AAC is a better conference than the ACC right now, so by that logic, how would hiring Kevin Johns be any different?

**** Manny. This doesn’t save ****. I want to see results. Not getting excited about anything.

We’ll definitely play for the conference and have an OB game again.

Hopefully you are right.

I think we still have issues at QB; maybe one of the younger guys can step up and spark us.
O line is still suspect. I don’t buy the year of experience thing, particularly since we seemed to regress at the end of his season.
Glad we have McCloud back; smart move on his part. But our young lbs, even though athletic, are untested and unproven.
CB play is also an area of concern IMO. Blades and Burns flashed at times, but also got burned a bunch of times.

threw for like 4K yards and 34 TDS. I would say that’s pretty good

He also threw for over 3k his freshman year at Texas. It’s not like he all the sudden found it bc of Lashlee. He walked into the AAC as the best QB in the conference

TBH, this is nothing more than Taggert getting Briles last year. Nothing will change.
Could be ... but the good thing considering the circumstances is either 1) that happens and Manny is likely fired anyways or 2) he turns the offense around and Manny starts figuring out what will take to win and we probably win the coastal and 10 games.

I get why he took the job, I’m just saying he should not have been Manny’s first call. I hope I’m wrong and he tears it up. Just haven’t seen him field an elite offense yet, or develop any QBs
We shall see. I personally am not going to get excited about it until I see the product on the field. While I think its a good hire, I thought the same about Enos and look how that turned out.

OK, are we allowed to be happy about this?

Not according to a few CIS Miami football fans. After all, Miami's offense hit ROCK BOTTOM last year. So the Orange and Greed cloud laden sky is the limit for Miami next season.
