Kosi was killed on here for his immaturity
I was thinking the same thing. Kids will smoke and drink. The next day they should be in the weight room getting better. The problem here is the HC. The players don’t respect him and needs to learn to be a leader not be part of the players. My sense is that "drug testing" is being used as a cure for poor discipline. Most kids today smoke weed, that is not the main issue. Not being prepared, focused, hungry etc. is the issue. And yes part of that is on the kids, but the larger part is the poor discipline. Having a stronger drug policy will not solve apathy.
Yeah man no matter what you say about manny but these are of the type of players you got don’t matter what you callJarren is a Cancer
He had his year of suspensions too in his redshirt freshman year and other rumored off the field incidents. He didn’t have them the next year which was good to seeKodi was killed on here for his immaturity
i get what he tried to do. he wanted the team to hold each other accountable. obviously didnt work
The other problem, as one player explained, is there were some players on the team (not a lot but some) that have a “do what they want” mentality, don’t possess the level of work ethic needed to succeed and don’t seem to care as passionately as they should.

Summary if you hit the pay wall:
But conversations with multiple people around the program, including a veteran player, say there’s another issue, particularly in the quarterback room, that must be fixed. And UM is working to achieve that. That player - and other sources around the team - say a few players seem more concerned with partying than focusing on football and that a handful (including a prominent one on offense) broke curfew the night before the FIU loss to go out.

this only works when there’s not a culture problem. U have to build the team full leaders in order for this to happen. It’s like a parent putting their irresponsible child to oversee their little siblings; what do u think is going to happen?
These are little things that, as a coach, shows if u truly have the pulse of the locker room. Obviously Diaz didn’t/doesn’t and may be that’s b/c he’s too busy acting like a kid in a candy store living a dream who doesn’t deserve.
Manny was the guy who talked about culture but quit letting quitters return and other issues be tolerated.Yeah man no matter what you say about manny but these are of the type of players you got don’t matter what you call
It was said he failed a drug test after having dental surgeryI think 100 percent ivey was out due to a drug suspension
Jarren is a Cancer
This column was eye opening. We complain about the coaching a lot, but we also have a roster full of apathetic players. At some point, some leaders need to step up and raise the accountability. It’s clear the coaches can’t handle that on their own.
The whole QB room is a cancer and needs to be gutted. No leadership, intelligence or commitment. Don't need TVD and future QB's exposed to this.Jarren is a Cancer
Is Barry saying our QB room is full of burnouts?:

Jarren needs to grow up and mature, no doubt. And maybe he will. Perry was in this same boat last year and by all accounts, he was a model citizen this year, so maybe there's hope for JW.
However, let's not forget he's a 20 year old kid. Even if he did everything suggested in the article, it sounds like he's acting his age and needs someone to show him how to become a man tasked with responsibility. He's not committing crimes or violent acts.
