Barry J. article discussing the internal power struggle

15 years of pathetic mediocrity and no one is willing to fundamentally change the way we run the football program. Fake Blames has his head in the sand and thinks this is just about the coach. Think bigger.

And Manny, be it fear or arrogance, is more worried about power and control than winning. Fake Blames allows it.

We need some activist shareholders to save it.

Look for Manny to hobble to a 7 win season and BJ will give him 4 year extension... to help with recruiting.

We have seen this movie before.

Manny should just ask for a buyout. This is about to get ugly. You have internal support for Highsmith to come in with the power he needs and then you have Blake tippy toeing to Mannys office to ask him if he's ok with it. Of course he's not. He doesn't want to give up power and Blake is caught in the middle and he's too weak to tell Manny tough ****.

As to the roster thing, whatever coward leaked that is an idiot.

How many "difference makers" do FIU, Duke, and La Tech have? Cram that garbage excuse up your ***.

One "roster" at Miami stinks and it's the group of gutless coaches trying to make excuses by throwing their guys under the bus.

Doesnt it beg the question that if Manny cant handle all of this that maybe he shouldnt be the head coach?
Tell that to the joker who thought it would be brilliant to hire a rookie HC, and did it in 10 seconds flat no less.

The fact that we’re letting an unproven hack job coach who just went 6-7 dictate how the program should be managed behind the scenes is just sickening, God I hate our admin and Blake James so much.

Somebody on the inside is leaking this dirt to Barry J.

That somebody deserves a medal.

It's interesting. This article leans more towards throwing Diaz under the bus alone. It implies Blake is open to this change. Yesterday, it was a different take. Blake James was the bad guy and not willing to make the hire or even speak with Highsmith initially.

I'm sure Manny is the one trying to use this OC opening to put the Highsmith thing on the back burner. Hey guys I need to hire the OC and then we can sit down and talk about Highsmith. **** that Manny. Hopefully this ****es him off and he asks for an exit strategy with a golden parachute

Was in Miami for a week. One wealthy businessman that I spoke with said that there is a 0.9 inverse correlation between football prowess and academic ranking. He is thrilled about Miami's national academic ranking. He says 2/3 of donors agree with him and cites the $35M allocated to football from the $4B in recent campaigns.

Another large donor said that they expected "growing pains" with Manny, but they were also expecting a 9-3 record during 2019 with noticeable improvement during the latter half of the season. If Manny does not win 9 games next year, they will fire him. (Also spoke with FSU BOT member. Taggart arrived at office at 8AM and departed at 5PM. Taggart does not believe in ever disciplining players. Laziest high ranking executive they have ever met.)

One thing about Manny that everyone agrees on is that he is a manical worker. No one outworks him. Diaz puts in 100 hour weeks routinely. He is genuinely trying to succeed.

Everyone I spoke to at this point expects Manny to be fired next year by late November. They are preparing for his replacement... He will probably fail, but one never knows. He is working like a fiend.

Just to recap so we can fully appreciate this:

• A guy who's been a high-level NFL executive for 8 seasons verbally agreed to take a position at UM that would give him power, helping to hopefully fix our program.

• Our tiny, lisping moron of a head coach, with his 6-7 record and 3 straight losses to FIU, Duke, and LaTech, told his boss "no."

• Cuck James allowed his tiny, lisping moron head coach with no success, respect, or clout to dictate to him who he can hire. He allowed an employee to tell him who he could hire.

• So not only is Manure ruining the program on the field, he's now also overpowering his spineless boss on a hire that could lay the foundation for us to build a strong program in the future and stop running our team like it's amateur hour.

This entire program should be shut down and at this point if you don't despise Manny you're either part of his bloodline, mentally handicapped, or a homosexual.
Hmmmmm interesting

Let’s find this out once and for all, @nystateofmind what’s your take?
