Barry J. article discussing the internal power struggle

Just to recap so we can fully appreciate this:

• A guy who's been a high-level NFL executive for 8 seasons verbally agreed to take a position at UM that would give him power, helping to hopefully fix our program.

• Our tiny, lisping moron of a head coach, with his 6-7 record and 3 straight losses to FIU, Duke, and LaTech, told his boss "no."

• Cuck James allowed his tiny, lisping moron head coach with no success, respect, or clout to dictate to him who he can hire. He allowed an employee to tell him who he could hire.

• So not only is Manure ruining the program on the field, he's now also overpowering his spineless boss on a hire that could lay the foundation for us to build a strong program in the future and stop running our team like it's amateur hour.

This entire program should be shut down and at this point if you don't despise Manny you're either part of his bloodline of mentally handicapped.

Assistant/Associate AD - Director of Football Recruiting/Operations or something to that effect may be amicable to all concerned. The details of how much authority Zo would have might be the biggest hurdle. Manny would be foolish not to take advantage of an opportunity to align himself with the type of experience, knowledge, and insight Zo could bring to the table.

Good article. Well sourced and breaks down the layers to this saga. These kind of power struggles are very common in the NFL.

Time for Blake to man up and realize Manny doesn't have a pot to **** in. Bring in Highsmith to either help Manny fix this or find the coach who will.

I think it will happen because distancing himself from football ops is the best thing Blake can do for his job security. The great ****roaches like Steve Mills know how to adapt their role to satisfy ownership and avoid blame. If Blake caters to Diaz instead he's hitching himself to a sinking ship with no safety net.

Here's the kind of help Mini and staff need:

So were gonna have to deal with the Diaz b.s. for another season and most likely miss our window with Zo? He won't unemployed long. Meanwhile we'll be in the same spot this time next year.

Manny is a coward. He wants accountability from his players, but wants nobody holding him accountable.

Hiring a Chief of Staff, or whatever you call it, isn't going to solve the problem. Unless that person comes in and blows the whole **** thing up.

The entire staff needs to be relieved of their duties.
The key is how much power they would get. If they came in with the power of a GM, they could make a big difference. Either force necessary staff changes that Blake hasn’t or get rid of Manny if he doesn’t comply.

Plus they’d also be in position to make the next hire rather than Blake making another stupid decision.

Yeah

yeah exactly why not have him on your side in the long run? Manny is trippen jeez

Not everyone has a subscription to the Herald. Preach the gospel for those unfortunate not able to hear it directly from the mouth of our Lord and Savior.
FYI. I’ve got a free subscription with the Herald. Only thing they asked me for was an email address.
