I’m ok either way but vote b1g for two reasons:

Pros
Easier schedule
More money

More money seems very debatable going forward when the SEC's media rights deal is re-negotiated after Sankey guts the ACC and when the cross-country travel costs for all sports are factored in.

A schedule when we're playing both UF and FSU on a more regular basis is gonna generate more ticket revenue than one where we're not playing either on a regular basis.

Living in Iowa, I selfishly want the BIG so I can catch multiple games. With that said, ultimately I want the university to do whatever is best for the sports programs. We all watched what happened when they became an afterthought.

That's what we should all want tbh

So going to Big10 would technically be the better development path for our players, providing them that real life experience before moving on. Beside I live in Chicago suburbs and this puts 7 potential away game sites within 4 hours.

A lot of folks have similar thoughts ... and I certainly understand it as nice not to have to travel so far to watch your favorite team.

But wouldn't it be wiser for UM to consider accommodating familes and friends of most student-athletes by making their travel to away games less of a grind?

SEC is where Miami belongs. Just from a logistics standpoint it makes the most sense. Dont wanna be like USC, UCLA, and Oregon having to worry about them longer flights all the time.

... and Minnesota ... and Iowa ... and Washington ... and (eventually) Cal and Stanford and so on ...

Another factor. There are 210,000 living alumni, with close to half remaining in FL. Are they more likely to make a trip to the Southeast to catch an away game or fly to Iowa or Oregon?

Alright

Of those, how many die hard Canes fans?

Canes fans in general are all over the country

I'm good either way. Living in Virginia means I'm going to have to travel to see the Canes play.

total viewers in 2025
16 SEC teams: 52,306,000
17 B1G teams: 31,757,000
17 ACC teams: 18,074,000 (8 teams under the lowest SEC team, Miss St. 2 teams under the lowest B1G team, Purdue)
16 Big12 teams: 13,249,400

ND 10th in country: 3,200,000
Miami 12th in country: 3,070,000

The bigger question: does viewership start dropping when SEC teams aren't winning the CFP? Seems to be yes: 11% less in 2026 vs 2026 so far.

By chance, are you involved with the ACC refs? "Hold My Beer" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
