Article: Jermaine Grace Visit Updates

View as article
Miramar LB Jermaine Grace was visited by WR coach George McDonald (who has been the main staff recruiter at Miramar for the past 2 1/2 years) at the school on this past Tuesday. McDonald followed that up with an in-home visit with Grace and his mother on Tuesday night.

While Alex Collins received the headlines for attending Wednesday night's Men's Basketball game against Michigan State, Grace was also in attendance. He told me that he liked the energy and enthusiasm of the student section, and he enjoyed his time at the game, which he spent with fellow Miramar Alums Tracy Howard and Malcolm Lewis, among others.

Grace is scheduled to make his long awaited Official Visit to Coral Gables next weekend, December 7th-8th.

Cameron,
Any chance he pulls the trigger next weekend?

I had the same question. Also, what are his other visits? and it seems odd to take such an early visit if not deciding until signing day, does he play a winter sport?

Just now seeing this question. In addition to his OV to Miami, Grace plans to visits with his other 3 finalists: Florida, Tennesse, and Texas A&M. He is still undecided where (if) he will take his 5th visit. He does not play a winter sport, and has told me he's already in the weight room trying to get stronger. In the past, Grace has competed on the Track and Field team in the spring. We'll see if he does that again this year.

If rumors are true that he may commit to us during this weekend OV, any chance he ends all recruitment and cancels all other OVs?

What rumors? Grace said himself many times he is waiting till signing day, unless I missed something.

Can't count what people hope for as rumors.

"Jermaine Grace: Grace had originally been planning to wait to make an announcement at either an All-Star game or on Signing Day, but according to sources, he could announce as soon as this week. " -- Pete himself on the Big Board

Didn't even notice that. Sorry about that then.

^ you guys are crackheads. The kis a beast. He goes sideline to sideline like no other. You wanted a hard hitting LB that could cover? Well, here he is...

SMH.

Correct. Futch and Grace are Ying and Yang, the exact opposites. Futch was slow as **** and no nose for the football. Grace very fast, very fluid, and can smell the hole a kid is going to hit before the kid hits the hole. Kid is a LB all the way but I can clearly see him playing towards the end of next year on passing situations cause of his cover skills. On third and long what other options do we have: Gains, Paul, Cornelius, Armbrister, Kirby? All these kids are severe coverage liabilities but Grace can run with elite receivers and has the tool set of a strong safety.
