I dont have a problem with Highsmith. Would like to see Bush/Carter start next year and see Highsmith/Burns as backups.

Highsmith will hit you and hit you hard

Kacey Rodgers serves no purpose on this football team.

He's Joe Wylie part 2.

WOW. We had Joe Wylie playing on this team:ohlord:

We have Rayshawn Jenkins who played QB his entire highschool career redshirting this year.

Pray that Carter, Burns, and 1 more safety come here

I think I remember reading that Rayshawn has been injured, not severely but enough not to play, the last few weeks.

so will rayshawn get more playing time next year how come he isnt playing next to bush yet ?

Because not everyone is a special talent at freshman like Deon. It's tough to come in as a true freshman at the safety spot and ball out like Bush

Don't forget about Burns.

Saban wanted him, which means he is a guaranteed stud from day one.

Either way, our four safeties next year should be Bush/Jenkins/Burns/Carter with Rodgers and Highsmith being the waterboys.

I REALLY hope Jenkins can start in the spring. I'll kill myself with another football season with either AJH or KR2 as a starter. We need Jenkins and Bush to be our starters. Burns and Carter will be great adds. Any way either one of them enrolls in January?

I feel good about our future at safety if either Carter or Burns is as good as Bush. Bush is a baller and he will be a great player as he continues to grow.

I think Carter steps in and starts at S next to Bush pretty much immediately

I highly doubt it. Carter has the physical tools no doubt, but the mental side (as with almost all freshmen) will hold him back in the beginning. Like someone said before, it's very rare for a true freshman to come in at safety and be productive.

I think we will be much better in the secondary next year. The experience that Bush, Howard, Finnie and Crawford are getting will be huge for their development. It will all depend on how much our DL improves to really show. We need some monsters up front to take the pressure off of our secondary.

I think a lot of you guys are sleeping on Rayshawn Jenkins having another year of development
