We got even worse safety play from VT. Came on field for a handful of plays in second half and seemed out of position almost every time. SMH.

Yeah like I been saying in other threads, one of the safety positions is a black hole right now.

Yep Highsmith played like **** too. Carter has every chance to play as a freshman.

Don't forget about Burns.

Saban wanted him, which means he is a guaranteed stud from day one.

Either way, our four safeties next year should be Bush/Jenkins/Burns/Carter with Rodgers and Highsmith being the waterboys.

A lot of people said that about Bush as well. I'm not sure he will have a choice, we need another good S along side Bush and Jenkins, Carter, Burns need to become that guy.

Hey guys remember that mike Parker kid...plays safety but people were saying the staff wanted him at lb...if we can get Thomas and grace, I think we could take this kid at safety...according to 247 he's really high on miami

I think the thing is with Parker is where is he better at? S or LB? I don't want the coaches to take a kid and keep him at S just for the sake of it. If they think he is a valid addition to the S then sure.

Imo he'd be a better LB.

I love Parker's game. We need a tall ball hawker like him. Very talented

Burns will probably play safety unless he comes in and just out plays the Corners here giving the coaches no choice.


But I don't like the notion that safety is like a lesser position than CB. We've had some good corner's recently. I don't remember who was the last good safety we had before Bush. Think it's a coincidence we've been on the decline? I don't.
