Arkansas St can ball

Ark State is OK. I'll bet we actually watch film and do game prep for our opponent this week, unlike most of last week when we were working on FSU.

and can you verify that we were working on "FSU" most of the week statement. inside source/personal knowledge ??

Don't need that. Nobody would spend all week prepping exclusively for BC when they literally are not threat to us. Would you? When you could actually spend some of that time and energy getting ready for a much more important opponent?

Didn't we play them in 2014?

Yes, and beat them 41-20

Isn't that the game when dude fainted on the punt? Lol

Hoping they don't run this play too much next Saturday. I'm not sure how we are going to stop it.

You mean the Appalachian State team that went on the road to Tennessee and lost in overtime, better than that App State team? Throw it 50 times on Miami and you'll likely see a sack record

and that how you get beat? only practice and play hard for the really good teams. go ask UNLV as they lost to a 45 point underdog. just one example.

Almost 70 passing attempts and 4 ypc average on 21 rushes.

They won't have anywhere near that many offensive plays vs. Us and they won't go for nearly as much. Canes by 17+

lol I saw them tackling. They couldn't stop nebraskas ****** skill positions and tight ends.

Do u really think they can stop Richards, Thomas, Harley, cager, Herndon, Walton, and homer

What r y'all smoking that bcu game was just a wake up call and a ****** game we roll for sure

But can they ball like App State? This story sounds real familiar.

App State is one dimensional with running the ball. Arkansas State will be more of a challenge.

they threw the ball like around 62 times. That sounds pretty one dimensional to me too.

You're right. They threw for 415, ran for 87 and put 36 points vs. Nebraska on the road. Safe to say AS is a bit more talented than App State.

You realize they're in the same conference. Arky State was 8-5, 7-1 and App State was 10-3, 7-1. They didn't play each other.

They suck. Completely one dimensional. Nebraska dbs are weak and slow and don't know how to get off blocks. I expect 2 pick 6s.

If we don't sure up the flats and those short passes across the middle they won't have to worry about stopping our offense cause we won't have the ball.

I'm 65 yrs old and could have completed 40 % of my passes to the flats yesterday..lol

Diaz has to stop blitzing every **** play and give these corners some help until they get it figured out or it's gonna be a looooooong day.Should we win? Sure,we have more talent. But after watching that QB torch us yesterday I'm not looking past anyone thinking it will be a cakewalk.

If it is I'll be the first one on here to say I was wrong.Hope I am.

I'm not as confident about us rolling. I'm a nervous idiot so I listened to more Nebraska post game coverage than I care to admit. Yesterday put me in a bad way.

ARKST thrived on the short passing game (8.6 ypc/6.1 ypa). Seem familiar? If we try to out muscle their OL for the first 2 seconds of every play we'll make the game unnecessarily tight. Yesterday was the first time since he's been here that I can say Manny didn't seem to adjust to his opponent. He's had a bad half before, but he almost never has a bad game. Everything B-C did ok (I can't believe I'm saying that) ARKST will do much better. Every weakness we showed yesterday will be magnified against them.

I expect it starts off badly. We get punched in the mouth a few times. Then it'll be on this over inflated D to act like champions and not just talk like them. Because yesterday was silly and concerning.

Pretty much.

We have way too much speed and size for them on offense and Special teams.

In order for me to say a team can "ball" they have to show me some life when they are trying to stop people. (We at least saw a bit of that from App state last season. And we still kicked their ****s.)

I am aware; however, I was impressed by AS last night. AS's Offense will be a bigger challenge than App state was last year. Thankfully, their D isn't that impressive. I think this game will be closer than last year's App game. We shall see.

You guys need to change your kotex, your vaginas are leaking.
We are going to hammer these guys. We should score every possession and on special teams and defense.

It's simple-
BCU game Miami and it's very close, even a possible loss
WVU game Miami and we roll them

The team that takes the field will tell us a lot about our coaching staff IMO, it seemed pretty evident to me Richt wasn't too pleased. No we see what Diaz, Kool and Richt are made of coaching wise.

Wait a minute...this game is going to tell us what coach Kool is made of?????
Not his unmatched resume? It's going to be this game? This game will tell us if it is a good DL coach?

You know what I mean, but to an extent, yes, his resume doesn’t do squat for us on the field. We looked like crap yesterday plain and simple.

So how many games has he been the DL coach at UM vs one game yesterday???
You tell me...how many games have we "looked like crap" vs how many games have we looked good while he has been the DL coach at UM.

Well put and I feel the same way.If the flats and the short crossing patterns don't get fixed this kid will eat us alive.

Hopefully Manny makes the adjustment.

This is a game that we should intentionally slow down. They've got a couple of shifty guys. If they go 3 and out and use our running game the way we should, their defense will be spent by the 2nd quarter and put up 40 points in the 2nd half.
