The old "True Fan vs dem ingorant haters with no life" argument.

The last resort of the bitterenders.

The same case was made by the Coker holdouts, and just this t time of year in 2010 with the Radio diehards, after his exact same dissapointing season and total collapse in a minor bowl game.

There will be much fewer Golden fans about four games into 2014, I predict.

:)

Having been one of the early Coker critics, I can tell you that the two situations (Coker and Golden) are in no way comparable. The state of the team at the starting point of each coach's tenure could not have been any more different.

THIS. And one reason Im so sick of being called a Blind Homer or Golden Slurper. I was a huge early Coker critic AND Shannon critic. EVERYTHING with Coker was headed in the absolute WRONG direction in this program. With Shannon, I gave him his time, but it was clear that after his first good recruiting year, everything was headed straight down hill as well. In contrast to those two, AG took over a team in total shambles. A roster that was a mess, a disasterous recruiting class, and then got slammed with a disasterous NCAA investigation, 2 years of bowl bans, and all for a salary that is comparable to Wake Forest. AG has many faults, and has a lot to learn. There are definitely some major issues, and some troubling signs. But he's also little by little improved our record every year. Recruiting has also improved consistently. Conditioning is also much better under AG. So is the perception of the program. We had our highest ranking in almost a decade this year before things fell apart. Im not ready to write this off yet. There is no "sure fire" silver bullet solution for this program beyond Golden. Not right now. Not that is realistic anyway. We went 9-4 this year with a lousy QB, and some pretty poor talent and depth on defense. Does this mean we are going to become great? No. But Id like to see what we look like in a year or two of brininging in the type of talent we are starting to recruit and bring in. People were ready to lynch "Botch Davis" in 98 and 99, and yet 2 years later, the guy was a Diety around here. I think the jury is still out, and people need to chill the f*ck out. Everything in this program is NOT headed in the wrong direction.

Yep. Gone full ******. Its beyond played out. I get passion, and wanting to win, and even being disappointed, but the irrational hatred and endless bashing of everything and everyone has now become like a game to see who can be more outrageous and extreme. Everything is an excuse to b*tch and insult the staff, administration, its beyond ridiculous.

Maybe you should go to more town hall meetings if you really feel that way.

All about winning. Corch was getting the benefit of the doubt when things didn't go our way now if a recruit flips or a misfit gets booted its on AL.

Bright side is nobody can point to race as the reason Shannon was hated. If your the corch at UM and not winning the fans hate your ***.

Had you stated anything regarding changing the D scheme or DC's or that he doesn't he would fail you would have more creditability. You may mask things with better talent, but it will still be the same outcoached team we have seen the last 2 years. As for his recruiting, above average and a tendency to not get the game changers on D that are badly needed. Signing day is less than a month out, he has lost the best DT in the class, will he get him back? We will see. IMO you are setting yourself up for a big fall. He hasn't shown anything to get us back to dominating CFB, much less the ACC.

I hate the stadium, and whenever we wear orange on orange, and the fact that YouTube will no longer let me post the full videos of old Canes games (anything beyond 10 minutes) due to copyright complaints from the NFL and IOC.

Otherwise, meh. Moderate dislike in a few areas.

Oh year, I despise 20 bucks for parking. But that fits in the stadium category. That place has ruined millions of lives, even people who have never heard of it.

That's kinda my point...I'd be ignoring 90% of posts here if I did that. We got a fan base full of little whiny ****es right now.

Only "whiny little byotches" on this site are you and the rest of the treasure trolls ex-boyfriends. That hobbit must have some great pussie for you slurpers to keep on blindly defending her and Golden. None of you are "real" fans. True Cane fans care about the kids first, not the other way around. You maggots rather worship at the Golden and Shalala altar rather than having these kid's backs. ****** unbelievable and downright shameful.

you know whats funny man,

If you have a University who actually gave a **** about MIAMI FOOTBALL.. 90% of what you listed wouldnt be a problem here.

A president who does not micro manage +
An AD who has balls and can make a hire this University DESERVES +
Solid Coach who hires solid COACHES +
A real S&C guy +

Recruiting in MIAMI is what it is. That for **** sure will never change no matter who is coaching. Even Saban

The Miami media will always blow -

You know what's funny, man...

You and others act like the UM admin DOESN'T care about football. That's the stupidest **** ever. You act like you know what goes on behind closed doors, like you're on the Board of Trustees. GTFOH.

What's funny is that people who post that crap are too stupid to realize how stupid they sound.

They either don't care or are incompetent. You choose. Both give us the same result.

I've seen it and predicted it many times and many places previously. Directly related to the demographics on sports message boards.

They skew white and angry and young. That type increasingly defaults to fear and hatred. That's all it is. Notice the political slant here, the posts in the related forum and that frequently are allowed to spill over here. Again, fear and hatred. Full of venom and threats. The talk shows and cable networks from that side have perfected the abuse of fear and hatred so naturally it attaches to the followers. They don't know any other style. The administrators and moderators on sites like this overwhelmingly share the same political bent so it doesn't appear overboard to them.

I don't want to make this a blanket statement. Obviously nothing is 100%. But as always I look for the easiest and most valid method to identify the majority trend.

I don't mind it so much. As I've posted, it's more comical than anything else. They are dealing from weakness, not strength. Every time they threaten somebody specific or threaten a group, it's like a vulnerable bully desperately trying to cloak weakness and fear. And there is still a foundation of astute football knowledge on this board, waiting to surface once the layers of crap rinse away.
