It changed the game?

His specific penalty DIRECTLY led to a loss by Miami or even had a significant outcome on the drive?

Explain yourself, defend the position.

ok yeah good call. i yield, wasn't a game changer. but it definitely hurt the team. that is a significant loss of yardage on a night we needed every yard we could get

Al Blades is a complete IDIOT and should apologize to Florida, the team, and the fans. We had a GREAT chance to win the game and this selfish MORON throws the double bird right near the official. In 36 years following the Canes that was the dumbest and most costliest penalty I have ever seen. If I was Manny I would set his ***** down for 3 games and make him think about that. I really can't comprehend how juvenile Blades is. WHAT A DOPE!

This was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

You suck at posting and are now officially on "ignore"..

Has everything to do with it. Bench him for the first half and call it a day. Handle the actual punishments during practice and whatnot.

lol you are telling me he isn't a starter so suspending him wouldnt do much, but the punishment should come in practice? anyway whatever agree to disagree bro

Hi ssvir, everything I said was right on the nose. He owes apologies to everyone mentioned above and it was a stupid selfish act that most likely cost us the game. THERE MUST punishment for such a callous dumb move. This behavior has been going for many years and UM is a very undisciplined team. We do NOT have great teams like the past therefore mental mistakes cannot happen.

LOL im extremely calm. and yes suspended. you can read, confirmed!

when you do selfish, classless bull**** that directly hurts the team, absolutely.
I'd say suspension is taking it too far. Should be punished, absolutely. Have him run until he pukes.....then have him run stairs.

Agreed.

He was very in the wrong--coukd have cost our Canes dearly.

He must learn from it and move on to be better.

I think the Mallory hold, such as it was, was a bigger game changer.
Not talking about game changer, talking about stupidity and costing the team field position. That was just plain "look at me" high school stuff.

Anyone that wants Al Blades suspended, doesn’t know **** about being a Miami Hurricane.
***** You... repeatedly!

LMAO was waiting for the "you wouldn't understand" post. bravo sir, you didn't disappoint. being a selfish, classless ******* on national TV and costing the team 15 yards in a crucial spot, it's a Canes thing! i guess. what a ******* stupid post.

I don't care what nobody says, y'all Mfs are blind as a bat. Blades definitely threw up the u and did not flick him off.

Wow...I, like almost everyone else, thought it was a "double bird"--- which would have been unfathomably stupid.

In looking carefully at the replay, it really does seem he was throwing up the U. Not sure if that would still get a penalty (or if this is another example of bad officiating), but certainly not as egregious as a double bird.

He is old school and there are plenty of people on the board that want to go back to the 90’s. Those days are over and the Cotton Bowl is now on VHS. The Canes can no longer get away with those things. Refs are graded as good or bad refs based on officiating celebrations. Their bosses don’t want that in the game and have officiated it out. We can no longer lead with the head either or we will called for targeting every time.

Let’s hope JR can learn from this.

Another thing that is weak are the losers on the sidelines trying to step up on an opponent who ran out of bounds. Your just asking for another penalty. The Refs are watching that opponent. Just straight *** punk move by guys who can not get on the field. Not impressive.

Also, the guys from that era knew we were good enough to rack up 200 yard worth of penalties, taunt, dance but still find a way to win. Which is one of the many reasons why everyone hated us. Hope these kids realize we are nowhere near there yet.

The game changing plays are almost too numerous to count. Take away any one of these and you can argue we win the game

- Any one of the four 4th down conversions
-Any one of the 2 big pass plays for FL (65 and 66 yds)
-Baxa missed FG
-Muffed punt by JT
-Holding on the Cam run
As much as I hate to admit it but the fake punt was a balls call. That was one of the fourth down plays obviously.

I missed this - when did this happen?

Calm down. It was a stupid thing to do, I am glad the folks on ESPN didn't catch it, and Franks had it coming because he was being a ***** so that was probably payback. BUT it was embarrassing and when you pull stunts like that you better make sure you win the **** game which unfortunately we didn't.

No suspension necessary. Heated rivalry and game.

"Not a game changer?" Are you for real? Do you realize where we would have gotten the ball compared to where we ended up getting it?
That's not the point. This was an unusual game. There's been so many others plays that people have pointed to as game changers. If any one of those turn out differently, that one becomes irrelevant.

The one against Blades may hurt more because the gates inexplicably put the game back into our hands with only 4 plus minutes left.
