Same bro; the NFL has become more storyline than anything. Imo, the NFL has become more sports entertainment under Goodell v. an actual sport under Tags. It feels more production.

Regardless, I had no skin in this game. So what I stated had zero to do w/ any vested interest. I’m not a TB nor KC fan; if I’m being honest.

R u talking about Ye Tuck Rule from the 1920’s, that no one ever heard of before until Brady fumbled (which would’ve ended NE) and inexplicably removed from the rules the following season due to “ambiguous” language??

The nba is even worse, just brutal to watch.
 
The game last night proved again that you build your defense from the middle out. Any defense that builds otherwise ("Strikers Bro!!!" LOL!!!) is bound to fail.

Sharpe just said the exact opposite of this. Lol. He said he was told when he played in his first SB, the refs are going to let u get mugged a bit. They r going to let them play. Lol. We normally agree, but I vehemently disagree w/ u on this one. U don’t call tight games in the SB; especially not this one sided. Give u another example; Matthieu talks trash to Tom, Tom goes and chase after Matthieu. Matthieu gets called for unsportsmanlike, yet Tom didn’t. Compare: Winfield Jr taunts Hill, Hill responds & instead of extending KC’s drive, they call off setting “unsportsmanlike” penalties.

C’mon bruh. It was clearly one sided this game. Jones gets pushed by TB’s OLmen, he pushes back, and the refs hit him w/ a personal foul unsportsmanlike penalty. Lol. It was way too obvious how ?able those calls were.

He got hurt first game of 08 and they still won 10/11 games with ******* Matt cassell and made the playoffs. Manning was out for a season and the colts won a handful of games and it was literally a 10 game difference.

Some people can’t see passed it but it is what it is. The whole country seen that **** in the first half last night. I thought Bucs would win regardless (and I’m very happy for them)because of that front 7, but the officiating made it unwatchable unless you had money on the game or were a Chiefs/Bucs fan.

I think the Bucs still win because of the issues with the Chiefs offensive line, but the Bucs got a bunch of generous calls. Not just the defensive holding, but anytime there was pushing/trash talking it was on the Chiefs. And they missed one where Mahomes was getting sacked and you could see Mahomes head getting jarred. Suh hit him in the facemask and they didn't call it.

Correct; another “conveniently” missed call. Yo; when they showed Tom grinning when C. Jones got hit w/ the personal foul penalty after his OLmen pushed 1st; that’s when I knew this was going to be a long game.

Any poster not acknowledging the refs influenced this game is being disingenuous. TB probably still wins, since KC was playing w/ a make shift line, but to say they didn’t influence this game is not correct.

Well KC had 107 yards rushing. Their starter had 64 and averaged 7.1 yards a carry.

Tampa had 145 yards rushing. Their starter had 89 yards averaged 5.6 yards a carry.

I think KC should have run the ball more with Helaire because he was doing well.

My favorite part of this whole thing is that wasn't Brady the leagues public enemy number one after spygate? Goodell had it out for him, the sham investigation etc... Why would the NFL rig games for that guy? Wouldn't it try to rig them for the guy who has the best chance of doing what Brady has done in Mahomes?

No money on the game. No skin in the game I was just watching it.

At the half:
KC - 8 penalties for 95 yards leading to maybe 2 scores
TB - 1 for 5 yards

A lot of people agree including Boomer at the half, and others here and on the internet so...

It affected the game. Not sure if it would have changed the outcome but I think it got into the heads of the KC players and also made them attack the game differently.

Exact same call? What are you smoking dude? First of all he wasn't beaten he was completely in phase and basically ran the route for Lazard. There was a slight pull on the shoulder as the ball arrived but the refs probably couldn't see it because the coverage was so tight. Versus a guy getting roasted from the slot and pulling an undershirt so far from the receiver's frame that a grandma with cataracts could see it.

Sounds like you're the one who's a butthurt fan.

There's an obvious disparity there but that doesn't automatically mean something nefarious is happening, it just means we should ask how and why this happened. Some of those calls were subjective and borderline, but some were just undisciplined plays and basically automatic flags. Such as the swipe to the face resulting in a PF, and lining up offsides on the FG attempt were just mental mistakes.

The PI at the end of the half may have been uncatchable but the DB knew he was beat and fell on Evans' legs, putting the ref in a position where he has to consider throwing a flag. Bad call? Maybe, but at the end of the day he was beat badly and he got punished for it.

There was one defensive holding call I didn't like (although there was a hold on the other side of the field, they didn't call) that negated an INT. But the one I really didn't like was the PI involving Gronk/Honeybadger in the endzone, that shouldn't have been a flag.

I'm not above complaining about officiating but KC certainly deserved most of what they got last night. That game was won and lost at the line of scrimmage, officiating definitely added to some of that frustration though
