ACC pride and Big 3 unity

Gigachad "byke" Miami won't care about those guys anymore than USC cares if UCLA or Stanford won that week. Stack recruits, stack chips, they can be chatty patty about what we got cooking.

You're a fool if you think any Lizard or Fake Indian is ever rooting for us. They are enemy programs.
Was gonna say this too

You think they were saying things like this the last 15 years? If they were it was out of sympathy and an attachment to the past

But once we start winning again they won’t be saying “oh awesome”

If we beat A&M you think UF fans and FSU fans will be happy?!

For as long as I can remember, I’m a fan of the team that plays the gator or the semenholes. Either of them wins ****es me off. Although I will say I despise the gator more than free shoes.

If we take care of our own business like we are now (Thank You Mario!), their records have no bearing on our success. Therefore, I hope both lose every **** game.

I grew up in West Palm Beach. It is one of the rare cities in the state where there are significant contingents of all three bases. The proximity and immediacy of the situation, and having grown up in the 90s, does not allow me anything but disdain for them. This disdain has waxed, not waned, with time.

Never spent any significant time there or anywhere in Broward, Dade or PB counties.

But I'm pretty sure those FSU and UF fans where you grew up were just the same with their hatred toward Miami as people up in this part of the state (and probably those in Orlando and Tampa, too).

I've known quite a few folks as well as some of my family members who went to college in Gainesville and Tallahassee, Pretty much all of them have friends at the other school who they'd go visit on campus.

I don't know if it's the same way with UM or not. Maybe it is.

Always figured UM fans were unanimous in wanting to see UF and FSU get their asses kicked, but it appears that's incorrect.

Seen and heard Canes fans over the weekend talking about "we should be happy" when ACC schools win non-conference games, especially in high-profile matchups like FSU-LSU at the Superdome.

And also that UF beating seventh-ranked Utah helps Miami because "it's good for College Football when the Big 3 are successful."

Been pulling against the Noles and Gators my entire football-watching life (darn near 50 years), but have I in fact been doing it wrong?

Is College Football really about supporting your sworn enemies and conference rivals for the greater good?
**** nah! *** dem

You think those 2 schools are happy when we win?? **** no they are always rooting against us…

Your always free to root and believe in what you want to but… Sorry I’m just not into that Big 3 and supporting the state of Florida. It’s Miami and no one else….

It was very, very similar. The Noles in my area were typically "party dude" types who were alums/children of alums. Gator fans were ridiculously arrogant, entitled douche rakes. Only later did I realize how entitled Noles are too, especially when they ain't winning.

This entitlement leads them to see Miami as something of an "impostor," taking what is rightfully theirs.

Honestly, they are really ******* similar, but Gators are dorkier and snobbier. Both fanbases are profoundly ignorant of football Xs and Os, and often their own team. I think the Noles have gotten dorkier over time, too, making them even more like Gators.

I know several people who did U-grad at one and grad at the other of the state schools.

Bascially, they're all the same. Miami is the school, program, and fanbase that actually breaks the mold.

There were- and still are (just loo at social media)- lots of UF/FSU watch parties. Same friends, high schools, family, etc.

I've literally never done such a thing with either of those fanbases, and never will. Never been invited to one either.

The nostalgic side of me says college football is better when the Florida schools are kicking other schools asses. I've always hated fsu and uf, but even more when they're good.

With that said, I now hate almost everyone. There are obvious ones like osu, notre dame, etc. But now I hate bama, georgia, unc, and many more.

At the end of the day, being hated usually means you are playing well. It's not as fun hating our rivals when they suck.

Let's just do our thing, take care of our business, and we'll be the one everyone roots against. That's when we'll know that we are back!

Yea your gone.
Imma help u out....your fsu friends dont give a f*ck if we ever win a game.
I dont want to see both teams get back to sh*t...its the biggest game every year for ME regardless of our rankings, win loss percentage. What connection does Brian Kelly or ****** LSU have to us?.

The softning of america continues.

Its been canes fans pining for fsu to be good the last 3 years on this board. I mean when we were down them f*cks were clowning us through n through..and there hate is even different..they legitimately think of canes as thugs and "beneath them" along with UF so i dont know HOW in the world cane fans are on some its better for college football bs. Stop watching ****** College Gameday.

*P.S i wish for VA TECH to lose every game they play as well. Because honestly they ARE are biggest rivals after FSU...i watch their games in hopes of them losing.

Grew up in S. FL and half my friends from that time are FSU with a few being UF.

When they were beating us 5 or whatever years in a row, some of them mentioned how it wasn't even fun. It was like kicking a dog when it's down. So yeah, they'd rather we be on similar levels. We're all old enough to have been at some of our epic battles in person or at least watching it on television.

Surely you're not so obtuse to realize where I might dislike Kelly from.

The FSU game may be the biggest game for you, suppose it still can be, but it's just been a battle of who sucks more. Talk trash, we suck, you suck even more. Nothing better than beating those guys when they're at their prime. Knowing you're in for a game. Watching VT games to see them lose, **** dude, find some joy in your life as that's lame as ****.

As for what they think of us, maybe you need to get out more. Nobody carries on the we're thugs or whatever mantra more than our own fans. It's creepy actually. That **** died out 20 plus years ago aside from some outlier fans.

College GameDay, last I saw it was when we hosted it. Softening of America, please. When both schools were balling, there was respect between the two programs. Heated battles on the field, but handshakes and congrats around afterwards. Fans don't get this, most of then anyhow.

Stockholm Syndrome.

They shook.

They shook bad with the fever.

HC Super Mario Cristobigballs is the cure.

Nah, our biggest in state competition for recruits losing as much as possible only helps accelerate our return.

FSU racking up wins so they are more highly ranked when playing us would be a silver lining, not something to actually root for. You don’t want them to have a leg for any narrative that they can be better next year.
I hear you, but we ain’t losing out to FSU and UF as much as we are losing UGA, Bama, OSU. I’m all for SEC teams losing always because I’m sick and tired of the narrative. Look at A&M a regular 8-4 type team in the big 12, sometimes ranked. Now a regular 8-4 team in the SEC and they are to 15, yet they lose to almost every team on their schedule with a winning record. It’s ridiculous.

We have said it a million times, we have always lost guys, but we got the right guys. That’s still the case. Tutu Atwell? We got Pope. You could go on and on.

I used to root for them to lose always, but I’d rather the Big 3 be back than continue to watch this BAMA,UGA,LSU suck fest all the time.
