Because it’s true. He even was on campus on the down low during portal process
that's rightHe was a backup plan that didn’t want to wait it out which is understandable .

This is why he went to Indiana. The family wanted him with his brother. JMOMom was so sick that the younger brother went to Indiana. GTFOH
Yep, QB is the hardest position to project, you cant really see what's in someone's brain and how fast they process information. Some things you can see on tape, like athleticism, strong arm, size, but intangibles you cant see them on tape. And it’s a Miami problem that we aren’t recruiting a qb…Portal is the most proven way.
Let them go somewhere else and struggle for a year or two and then when they’re ready, they can come play here. Even the elite quarterback recruits are all transferring after a year or two.Keep it up though and your 2nd and 3rd string qb's are going to be Emory Williams types because no talented qb in high school is going to stay/come to Miami...
You are correct, the dude said he’d be fine with us rolling with him and be good with 8-4I think I read someone in another thread saying we should roll with Nickel.![]()
Hindsight’s 20/20.And why not?
One QB was a three year starter at a big-time program where he played with and against elite competition and fared well whereas the other guy did OK, but was not great at a program struggling to win in a shthole conference.
Which QB would you choose?
Which QB would have Cignetti chosen if he could have the choice?
Honestly, I was ok if we had ended up with Mendoza but I would be lying if I knew he was going to be this good.
I do know a lot of folks had major concerns over the possibility of having Mendoza at UM. We were hearing alot of stuff about Mario and the Columbus bros, fizical football and the other silly stuff.
Sometimes we cannot do anything right per our fan-base.
Mendoza winning because of that Defense.Still can’t believe Mario turned Mendoza down. Happy for the kid
While presented with undeniable facts, your ability to remain ignorant is actually impressive.Keep it up though and your 2nd and 3rd string qb's are going to be Emory Williams types because no talented qb in high school is going to stay/come to Miami...
First nationally in passing touchdowns, second nationally in passer rating, projected Top 5 pick.Mendoza winning because of that Defense.
Shows how much I watch Indiana. Did those numbers match v. Ohio st. ( didn’t watch)First nationally in passing touchdowns, second nationally in passer rating, projected Top 5 pick.
Ppl have a hard time accepting change it’s natural but portal QB is the way to go in this new era fashoAnd it’s a Miami problem that we aren’t recruiting a qb…Portal is the most proven way.
CIS is elite at playing the result on this board ****ted on the Idea of Mendoza now they cant believe Mario turned him down lol give me a ******* breakWhy?
First, your comment assumes Mendoza wanted to come here. Did Mario actually turn him down? Or did you make that up? Secondly, did you actually watch him play last year? He was a game manager; not elite. Far too many people are making claims like you did and it’s nothing more than playing the result.
Who cares dude being in the playoff race yearly that’s all that matters.Keep it up though and your 2nd and 3rd string qb's are going to be Emory Williams types because no talented qb in high school is going to stay/come to Miami...
Mendoza called his mother “mommy”. Hard pass. I’d rather have Tua than that wimp.
Why yall keep saying this? Ward went number 1 overall and aside from a couple games where he morphed into TVD Beck has been solid, why would Mendoza not succeed here?Mendoza would not look the same if he had to be coached by Miami
