But we are also landing solid no nonsense blue chips like Nickel and ColemanKudos to Mario he was early on this. Don't spend big on HS QBs. Spend big on portal QBs.
Da Gawd isn’t a blue chip? Wasn’t he at the Elite 11?But we are also landing solid no nonsense blue chips like Nickel and Coleman
You can argue details of results but the overall plan to me is very good
I’ll take Emory in 2026 for the depth chart and help running practices and helping the young guys. That can help in this day and age when it’s hard to keep a depth chart at QBDa Gawd isn’t a blue chip? Wasn’t he at the Elite 11?![]()
I love the kid’s moxy, work ethic, and IQ.I’ll take Emory in 2026 for the depth chart and help running practices and helping the young guys. That can help in this day and age when it’s hard to keep a depth chart at QB
Not saying you here and not trying to be a douchebag but I think he’s gotten enough **** over the years where we should probably just let it go
And too piggy-back...@DMoney How do the Canes--or any team really--keep the QBs on the roster while also looking to see whether there is a transfer portal QB that fits? In other words, how do they keep Nickel happy while looking around this offseason?
right which is like what the ceiling for a QB3-4 should be these daysI love the kid’s moxy, work ethic, and IQ.
Bruh this kind of perspective...I’ll take Emory in 2026 for the depth chart and help running practices and helping the young guys. That can help in this day and age when it’s hard to keep a depth chart at QB

I don't know. I think the only solution is constantly searching for affordable HS arms and hoping one hits.@DMoney How do the Canes--or any team really--keep the QBs on the roster while also looking to see whether there is a transfer portal QB that fits? Days of recruiting an elite highschool qb is gone. No one is willing to mortgage their future on a first year qb newcomer. Nor should they
If they're willing to wait to play and actually be developed. That has to be a clear understanding upfront. That's what coaches are for.
I think Coleman is the perfect example of this. Proven winner, not overly valued, Alpha, could work out.. but at worse should be a welcomed edition to the locker room & Greentree.I think the only solution is constantly searching for affordable HS arms and hoping one hits.
