Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma state. That was a good conference. Better than the big east back then. Colorado was a good program in the 90s. They won the national championship in 1990
They tied for it with GT......90 UM would've Destroyed that Colorado team....and would've curbstomped GT......Ask Texas....

I understand the talent we had on that team. I think the 01 team would win. But I think the game would be closer than expected

Just because you go to a lot of Miami games and have kids that went to school there doesn’t make you a bigger fan than everyone on this group. Everyone in this group are die hard canes fans. I live in Beverley Hills, which is on the whole other side of the country, so I don’t get to see a lot of canes games anymore
It's Beverly Hills....Lol....Go take your story telling *** on....

OU was 5-5 that year. Nebraska was ranked #1 before they played Colorado. 2001 FSU was better team than any of the teams UN played in 95. The year before Miami beat #1 and #2 including shutting down Micheal Vick who was no comparison better than Tommy Frasier. Once Miami would score a couple of TDs early UN would have to try to start the throw it and Reed and comp would be running pick 6 plays all day. Miami had way better men in the trenches on both sides and would nullify anything Nebraska could do.

86 UM couldn't beat a Shoddy Penn St team....But Miraculously they'd Roll the 91 team...who Shut out a Nebraska team for their 1st Shutout in 70yrs....Gotcha....

Ain't a F-ing UM team in it's History, that'd Whip the 91 Team....Beat them??...Maybe...but Whip a Defense that only gave up 9.6 pts a game??...against a Difficult schedule??....thats Douchebaggery 101.......Oh...and Btw...the Penn St team that UM beat in 91...was MUCH better than the 86 Penn St team....

They beat four top 10 teams and destroyed all of them. It was by an average score of 49-15. Their smallest margin of victory was 14. And you clearly don’t remember the 2000 VT game because Vick was out basically the whole game. Both teams were dominant. That’s why I have been trying to say

Kansas State , Colorado and Kansas where are garbage teams that only played most of their games in there weak division. Nebraska 95 run only could not through it wishbone team would have been blown out by 2001 Miami. To much talent on both sides at Miami. Line up each of the players against each other and there is not comparison. Miami blew out ranked teams back to back Washington and Syracuse by over 100 points. The NFL is where the talent is great across the board and not weak teams out of Kansas and Colorado the might have a few good players here and there that can be exploited. Players might thrive in a weak division in college, but when they are up against top competition every week in the NFL , theaverage are gone after a few years like most of those Nebraska players.

This guy (who does a pretty good job at fixing AP polls in order to make them better) keeps Colorado at #5 and Kansas State at #7, and actually moves Kansas up a place from #9 to #8.

The 1991 PSU team lost by double digits to a 3-8 Southern Cal team.

1986 PSU was nothing special, and had no business beating Miami, but they were actually undefeated.

Do not care...86 Penn St should've been beat by 20+....The 91 UM team would've Destroyed the 86 Penn St team...86 Penn St would've been lucky to score against 91 UM

1990 Miami was the best team in the country. But that was in part because there weren't any good teams that year.

Whoever finished #1 in 1990 was going to be one of the worst national champions ever.

Miami outgained PSU by something like a 3 to 1 margin in 1986.

A Bill Connely analysis would probably show that Miami would have won 95% or more of the time.

And Oklahoma, who Miami beat by 12 points in 1986, was a much better team than anybody who the 1991 team beat.

95 huskers team was incredible but you just can't beat a team full of all stars who are driven from the inside. That 01 team got up for the games they were supposed to get up for, i'm looking at you washington and syracuse mainly.

super stars only give their best effort when the lights shine brightest, that's why that bc team gave them fits

take that same bc game and put it on a saturday night between 6 and 8pm and they roll them by 40 minimum.

huskers defense can't stop the canes offense is the bottom line, portis is one of the most underrated players in college football history.

I forgot more about UM FB than you'll ever know....Lost credibility??...MFer I was going to UM games Longggg before your *** was born....Because I made a mistake about Maryland??...Maannn sit your *** down...When your *** can say you've been to 250 UM games....2 NCs....and had a sideline Pass for 6yrs....then holler back...otherwise stfu
I've got 280 games and 3 NC's but no sideline pass and I think you're crazy to think any other CANE team is beating the 2001 team. In fact I think it would be extremely hard for any team to beat the 2002 team. But these are all just opinions what do I know.

Stop it....That 94 Nebraska team was plenty good....You do realize that most of our DL was hurt for the game....Riley...Holmes..and Lang were hurt...so was Rock...leaving Sapp pretty much the only one unscathed....If our DL was at 100%...we Win the game going away.....As bad (aside from KC) as our OL was....Having Costa as QB was the icing on the Cake....TWICE during the game, he missed Wide Open recievers for sure TDs....Jonathon Harris had his Man beat by 10yds...and Costa severely underthrew him...our WRs were open the entire game...Nebraska's DBs were no match...
I hated that game. I would love to give excuses but the did beat us in the OB when that meant something. And then I remember the class which the NE fans handled us beating them in our first NC game and all I could do was congratulate them. Injuries of not, no title back then meant anything if you did not go through Miami. They did and that is it and on our field.

Huskers were one of the great programs be battled to take the top of the mountaintop we ruled for so long. We fought battles and even loss some against the great historic programs to claim our glory - NE, OU, Bama, PSU, ND and some of more faded glory like UT and Tenn. My only regret was that our time did not match up with USC resurgence. They were another great program. Our fame did not come when other were weak, but rather when some were act or near the best ever like OU and NE, It was great that ND reclaimed former greatness for a brief moment to give both schools such memories. We were Ancient Rome taking on all comers and defeating them only to fall and then re-surge to rule again. Who knows, maybe we will again.

Sapp was throwing Frazier and Berringer (RIP)..around like Rag Dolls for 3 1/2 quarters....Absolute Domination of an entire Backfield....He split double Teams Faster than ANY DLman in UM History...Wasnt the Straight on Bullrush like Jerome...etc....but in terms of getting a jump from snap...and Destroying ANY Gap,...he had No peers....
Damm right he was, may be his best effort as a Cane, dude played in their backfield all night till he finally wore out. I think Osbourne said something about Sapp post game
