They were focusing on many dts and if when they offered isn't good enough then he and his coach were never really interested in the first place

Ignorance is bliss I see.... have u ever liked a girl in the worst way, but she never showed u any attention?.then all of a sudden all of the baddest chicks in the school are all over u, yet STILL, not that one... You end up taking a true liking to one of these dimes because of how sincere she seems and u all of a sudden stop thinking about that one chick that never gave u anytime. Finally she comes along, but the fact that u r now in pretty deep with this new girl, your interest level just isn't the same. Does it mean u were never interested in the 1st place? No. Should u b understanding to the fact that this girl slow played u because she was on the scene scoping out all these other dudes first? F*ck no!

Face this fact. Lamont is a kid, who really liked UM, but now is really in love with UGA. As a cane fan, hopefully that'll change a little upon visiting and meeting Al (very possible) but as of today, he has been to Athens and he really fell for Richt.

Long ways til signing day

Let's not forget, Richt is a Cane, so the kid is bound to like him. If this young man gets down here, he will like this staff. We might not land him but it will not be because we were late offering him. Think about all the kids we have offered early this cycle only to find a ton of schools chasing them afterward. This staff is working the woods, fields, valleys, mountaintops and the big cities hunting players. A lot of schools seem to be chasing along behind, trying to pick up kids without all that work. Golden is making inroads in the heart of SEC turf. Get NCAA off his neck and win 10 games with one being either FSU or the swamp scum, and he will be picking Richt, Miles, and even Saban's pockets in two years. I can't remember us ever doing much in NC in the past. Butch had that in lock down. Takes time to build infitration routes into enemy turf. All that said, we sure need some menfolk at DT!

My point was not every school will offer you when you want so you can't hold a grudge. Now I don't think he is but if it's a big deal that we offered what 3 months ago and the staff has a year to build a relationship then why isn't that enough time?
 
Gotcha... just want ppl to know that he just has uga WAY ahead of everyone else as of TODAY... Lots of time to make up ground but as of today, he likes uga... before this all started, he had me begging to get in touch with Mia (Landry as well)... No question where I'd like to see them both play, think it'll be pretty cool... BUT, they have to follow their own hearts and as of today, they have favs but they also contacted UM themselves yesterday to set up an unofficial...

Getting them on campus is huge. Things get really interesting once a kid visits.

Hoping for updates once Gaillard and Landry get on campus.

Emjay i will offer these FACTs, for you to share with Gailard regarding Mark Richt and UGA. Last year there Juco NT Jenkins was academically ineligible for their bowl game as a SR ( whch most likely means he will never get a degree from UGA). So looking at this 2 yrs prior they accept the young man into the University but rather then get him the academic help he needs to Graduate with a viable education, they instead just used smoke and mirrors to keep him eligible. Then cut him loose when they don't needed him any longer after the Sec Title game without a degree. But Richt is a christian upfront guy. Jenkins has some interesting quotes also about giving his word to help tge program, nothing mentioned about getting a degree for himself.

Coach, I have been following your efforts and was glad to seen your guys get offers from THE U. Mark is a gentleman and fine coach--he is afterall a CANE, but so is Golden. It you saw him on flat on the field with Malcom Lewis then you would know your players would be in the best of hands. Just remind you guys, as fine a UGA and Mark might be, nobody flashes a G on NFL introductions every week. Only if they come to THE U, will they FOREVER be able to say "THE U", or if they become great enough, "You already know!" Otherwise they will only be one of the other NFL guys trying to get some notice. Did you hear Obama mention "the smoke" and pick on Ed and Ray at the White house. Come on, what can replace "THE U"! Russell Maryland was flippin burgers when THE U offerred him our LAST ship that year. Outland Trophy, NC, 1st pick in NFL draft, 3 Super Bowl rings, College Football Hall of Fame. What if he had been offended that we waited til last? It is all about THE U.
 
Paranos how do you know Richt didn't try to help the kid through academic support? I question Richt as a head football coach, this very well maybe his final season at UGA, but unless you have some other info this seems a bit of a stretch. And every major program has turnover that's the ugly underside of big college football. Not defending Georgia as much as I am Richt, who as you know, holds a degree from UM.

That's only if he is truly concerned with academics. I ascribe to the lawyers philosophy of: It's not what you say, it's what you can prove. And time and time again, players prove they truly have NO interest in academics by committing to (insert sub-standard school) after professing the importance of academics. We shall see.

Or are you thinking he said goods thing about Miami for S. Mitchel? I bet he remember(ed) his Miami degree while recruiting against us...

Enemy of my enemy ...... So he took Sony, Golden is laying the grond work in GA to hurt them much worse than they will us.

So, a porster said only people who played football can talk about it here, and now another said that I can´t criticize Richt because I didn´t wore O&G?!?!

D´Money shoud just create a new msg board for us, "the ********" who did not go to university or played football. It´s the only way we can have an opinion.

Btw, If you think he recruit clean agaisnt us, fair enough, it´s your opinion(I respect) although I consider this naive. Plus, its clear(by readind another post) you implied in some way to be acquaintance or friend with him. Good for you, but don´t come here and try to patronize my opinion. UGA could steal a lot of recruits interested Miami, and in my book, this turn them into enemy, too.

Maybe it´s the culture of us here(fans of soccer clubs), but theres no middle ground, it´s our team and nothing more. If someone is recruiting against us, he is against us...

One more question, were I trashed Richt in my post?
