  • Claude Pelon 6'5" 285, Mesa Community College in Arizona
  • He has Miami tied with Washington for #1 on his list
  • He is from Homestead and went to high school in Orlando
  • He is taking an official to Miami after his season
  • He is a December graduate and will be a January enrollee

Would be a monster monster get. We need 2 Juco DTs that will make an impact next year. We have that and we will have the best team we have had here in about a decade...........
 
Extremely important recruit for next season with Porter, Robinson and Renfrow all being gone next season.
 
If we have a good season I think we land this guy.

Possible DT class

Claude Pelon 4 star (JUCO)
Dalvon Stuckey 4 star (JUCO)
Travonte Valentine 4 star
Anthony Moten 4 star
Courtel Jenkins 3 star

That would be the best DT class that we have landed in the past 10 years.

plus the best DE dade has produced in a very long time
 
We wanna be elite, we need elite players on the DL.

I like what we're doing at DE, now we just need to finish at DT.
 
We are also in the top 2 for stud JUCO DE Edmond Boateng 6-4 275 from Wesley Chapel.

Peton is a local guy and has always been interested so when that visit happens we have to go all out he's a HUGE get

Interesting...since if anyone was the equivalent of a five star, it was Alonzo. (They didn't have 5 stars back then, but he was a USA Today A-A.)

He played with a lot of UM guys who were not big-time recruits but were awesome in college. He should know.

If we add this guy and Moten, look out. Canes are loading up on the D line. It's a great time to be a Canes fan. Future is bright.
 
Is this the kid who signed with FSU out of high school?

He couldn't get into FSU, he is at his 2nd Junior College in two years and he's going to be an early entry?

Call me skeptical but I have a hard time believing Pelon is going to be able to get cleared into UM by the end of August 2014 (if ever) let alone by the time classes begin in January. If he signs with us that is.

But, here is to hoping that he does indeed sign with us and he will be cleared to play. Judging by our recent JUCO success stories I'm very iffy on this one. JMO
