2023 Schedule

No longer too worried about TAMU. But hard not to see Clemson, NC State, and FSU as anything but L's. I'm not gonna enough think of predictions until I see the staff changes. Talent will be upgraded but the coaching will be key to unlocking the newly acquired guys.

Can we stop scheduling FCS teams. If we are paying big money for players then play entertaining games

No. Look at Georgia’s schedule and how the sec does it. They play cup cakes. It gives the team breaks in the schedule and is a gaurnteed win.

Playing a hard out of conference schedule doesn’t benefit the program. We already play fsu every year. Then we are crossing and getting Clemson back to back years. Then add Notre dame 2024 and Florida. We are actually being dumb scheduling all that. Mario has his hands full over the next two years with our schedule

Signed to play ed reed and Bethune cookman. Per CBS sports.

Siap!!

I’m not saying playing a p5 team in replace of a fcs team. Play usf, UConn, umass, San Diego st etc

It’s lame watching fcs games and idc what Georgia does I’m not a sec nor Georgia slurper

Would love a scheduled T that’s laid out like

1 Vs Miami Ohio
2 Vs Texas A&M
3 Vs Bethune cookman
4 @ Temple
5 @ Nc State
6 Vs Georgia Tech
7 BYE
8 @ FSU
9 Vs Louisville
10 Vs Clemson
11 @ BC
12 Vs UVA
13 @ UNC

So pointing out the way an SEC team configures their schedule makes them a “slurper”? Miami should absolutely be attempting to patten their program the way UGA has built theirs under KS.

One of those ACC-W's will be an L

I think we're looking at 7-8 regular season wins. Here's how I look at it.

Opponents Group 1 - We have to beat all these teams, no question:
Miami U.
Bethune-Cookman
Temple
Virginia
This looks easy, but of course, last year, MTSU would have been in this group.

Group 2 - We go 3-1 against these opponents:
Georgia Tech
NC State
Louisville
Boston College
It's kind of sad, as someone who was an undergrad at UM the last time we won a natty, to look at this group and wonder whether we'll go 3-1, but this is where we are.

Right there, we're at 7 wins. To get to 8, we'd have to win one of the following games:
Texas A&M
North Carolina
Clemson
Florida State

Realistically, if we go 4-0 against group 1, 3-1 against group 2, and 1-3 against group 4, I'd be satisfied with the season, after the absolute fiasco that was the 2022 season.

This a nice breakdown. An actual realistic approach to how the season could go. Louisville and NC State are going to be very tough games. Almost can add them to the bottom list. We need to win both of them which gives us a better path to 8 wins. Last 4 games will be hard to walk away with wins....based on what we all know about this 2023 team.
