2023 Recruiting

It will be an interesting year considering Miller is technically the only senior on the roster. Pretty sure they will be very selective about who they offer a scholarship.
We have a lot of guys who would turn pro if the season goes right. Wong/Omier/Pack are all prospects and depending on PT there will likely be a transfer or two. Miller/Bev/Walker would probably take a starting spot elsewhere for their last year if they dont get major run this season, and it might be a similar situation for any of the current sophomores/freshmen. Team is fairly deep and there are only so many minutes to go around. Staff shouldn't be short sighted though and recruit well regardless. Honestly though, not worried about the state of the team at all because as long as Ruiz is handing out deals to transfers, there will always be a supply of high quality players to bring in. If we are a consistently ranked team this year, its not gonna be long before we're the go to school in the state in Florida which will only help recruiting.

It'll be tough for us to be the "go to school in state" when we're hardly recruiting Florida prospects.

Any idea what the interest level in 2023 Amani Hansberry is these days? Canes extended an offer last summer. He's a 6'7" forward out of Mount St. Joseph High School in Baltimore. He is a bear in the paint, versatile on both ends, and has a 7'1" wingspan. Was recently awarded the Baltimore Sun Player of the Year.

Here's an evaluation on him: https://www.pointguardeyes.com/amani-hansberry-2022.
