2018 Recruiting

Nico Clareth, JR Guard, Sienna. Must sit out. Led the Saints in scoring this year (15.1 ppg). He's from Baltimore.

I like how he can hit the 3 at a high % and the last guy from Siena worked at well. There are definitely a bunch of good options.

The Big guns around the landscape offering Vernon Carey Jr. Man I hope this kid sticks with Miami. Big Bags are dropping for him all over the country.
Like I said, Spoke to the family at the Orange Bowl. Dad said he didn't know, and brother said he's not coming.

Even with the injury, I’m not sure Brown stays. If he does, we can be very good next year. I think Wilson is gonna no to be very good, and probably start. Even if Bruce goes, I think we can a tournament team.

I think next years team will be more inside driven with shooters surrounding them. Huell , Izundu and Gak is legit size and length.

Miles , Lykes, Dj , Burger and amp is some good shooters to give spacing.

If we could get a late pickup or two at guard I could see a really good squad.

The offense can’t help but me more consistent than this year .

If coach L got that Rion Brown squad close to 20 wins then he can’t help but do more with this roster. That roster had no talent , yet he got everything and more out of it.

L made Swoope into a functional player, that dude was a glorified walk-on for most of his career, but L and that staff made him into a guy that could have a career day against UNC at the Dean Dome as a senior. To this day, I think the 2013-2014 team was the best coaching job of L's tenure. That team should have been dead last in the ACC, but was a tough out, and was probably one additional scorer away from being a bubble team.

AQM is actually pretty fond of UM shockingly.
Im not reading everything else. Im assuming youre talking about quans brother since this is a basketball thread. I can easily confirm quan has no bad feelings towards um. Still loves it here. All that said dont know lil bruhs thoughts on us.

Vernon and Vernon Jr were guests last week on WSVN's Sunday night sports show with Steve Shapiro. Vernon Sr. seems super hands on in the kid's life but super hands off in his college choice. Said he'd be a lot more forceful about the kid going to UM if he was a football player. (One funny moment was giant Vernon Jr. saying he didn't play football because he didn't like the physical contact.)

Vernon Jr. still seemed super undecided about where he's going but it did seem like he was just throwing us into his list right now as a courtesy but that was just me reading his body language and it was tough because he's very soft spoken. Steve Shapiro kept badgering both father and son about him going to Miami which was great.

I have a friend who knows one of Carey's high school coaches. According to him, there's absolutely zero chance of Carey coming here. It's likely Duke or Michigan State, with Duke as his #1 right now.

Not that I care really, but why Michigan State?

Would love to see a class of transfers in Taylor, Welage, Clareth and/or Dru Smith.
