2018 5-star Xavier Williams commits to Alabama

Bama's days are numbered. The writing is on the wall. Miami, Michigan, Usc, & Texas all being respectable programs again is going to kill them. The jig is up.

Texas? Texas was 5-7 last year, and hasn't had a winning season since Mack Brown left.

JgDaCane is right on! This is not an anomaly it's fact. SoFl is an example where a former honey hole has not been as kind as in the past 2018. They went all in for Pope, Jobe and Gurvan Hall, but came up empty. That has an affect on their 2018 class unquestionably! The mentioned programs and I'll throw in fsu, psu, gawga and clemson keeping more players from their regions is affecting alabaga. That's a simple measurable affect and clearly indicative, "at this point", in the recruiting process. If alabaga's focus is on top talent from these states and hopes of flipping them, then they could end up fighting to secure the uncommitted top talent.

Pierce’s de-commitment leaves the Tide with just two commits in the Class of 2018: defensive end/outside linebacker Jordan Davis and wide receiver Xavier Williams. I don’t think Williams ends up signing with Alabama as of today despite him publicly being pro-Bama. Look for him to stay in Florida and sign with Miami.

You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.

Yea same here, we can't let those 2 leave miami , dynamic players

Alabama is not a natural recruiting area; yes there's some five star kid here and there in their own backyard, but it's not littered with them. Plus Bama has an instate rival that's just as relevant as them, so the state of Alabama is a wash state. Bama has to rely upon national recruiting, primarily. So when you have teams like USC coming back, Texas coming back w excitement from the hiring of Herman, OSU cutting off the Mideast to the EC, Michigan and PSU are now starting to do the same....and the biggest domino to hit them was the Original Swag Program, Miami, being the resurrected giant now shutting off dang near the whole state of Florida, the walls are starting to close in on their racket. Tick tock, Tick tock, Bama is now on the clock.

Bag$ don't get dropped till January.

Bama will have a top 10 class for sure, and if they can sign a full class it would be top 5 easy.

"If they can sign a full class", that comes up every year at this time when it looks like they have room for 12-15 recruits and by 2nd Wednesday in February they are signing 23-28 kids. Satan is a master at roster management and kids and parents either don't see it oeignore it.

Now SI or some other magazine has to come out with another article about a high school coach co-signing a car loan.

Unless it happens for Bama this year, our guys will see a Natty before Jeudy will. That'll be a just ending to that story.

Some of y'all act like every black south Florida athlete is broke...
