1st and goal from the 2

U’re one of my favorite posters on here; but, I have to call out for this post. Lol

What’s the identity problem? OK, so for 4 games, we’ve set goals to control the L.O.S, & be tougher in the trenches. Both have come to fruition as our rankings have improved, thus far, in these categories:
-2021 T.O.P (121st) vs. 2022 T.O.P (20th)
-2021 Rushing (97th) vs. 2022 Rushing (69th)
-2021 Sacks Allowed (89th) vs. 2022 Sacks Allowed (69th)
-2021 TFL Allowed (108th) v. 2022 TFL Allowed (52nd)

The result of this had been 2-2.

OK, so during the bye-week they scrap all of this & go back to putting the ball in TVDs hand. Yesterday we threw the rock 57x, ran it 24x, loss the T.O.P battle. We out gained them in total yardage, TVD threw for almost 500 yrds, the most ever by any QB under Mario, and we still lost.

So what’s the identity? If we’re running the ball effectively (see TAMU: 175 yrds on 4.9 ypc) or passing the ball effectively (see UNC: 496 on 74% and 10.5 yrds/completion) & both of these games wind up being L’s, then what can we do?

Imma just say it; this team was a pig & some of ya’ll have been looking to put lipstick on it. I didn’t give af about the “experts” predicting us as favorites in The Coastal; they’ve been predicting that for yrs. I didn’t care what Vegas lines say. WE’VE ALL SEEN THIS TEAM FOR 3 YEARS. Mario has had his corching moments, but I guarantee u, as this roster is currently constructed, Meyer would go 9 wins right now. The lack of portal additions have made it tough.
And this is what Big Manny Frostoballess wants to see in a power run scheme.

His mesaaging as been consistent: failures on a given play before, or during a given play, have led to explosive punishment by the other team.

Miami has been unable to return t he favor.

Get rhe right athletes to make that "one play away" correction, and Big Manny believes a significant tuen around in Ws will follow.

He isn't wrong on this, but can he get there?

Imo garcia should have a packages like first and goal when u can use the qb .our o sucka and i hope mario replaces the oc . Use your talent and wtf was the qb thinking clock running end of game throw a 6 yard play in bounds

Im really late to this thread but I just had a chance to watch Stevo's breakdown. Yall killing Gattis but boy if you actually watch the first down play you'll see why you have to hold the players just as accountable. We talk about a rbs speed, acceleration, and power all the time, but vision is probably one of the most important attributes for the position. 1st down, and it looks like an off tackle play. Franklin is running hard right and cuts back into the middle where all the defenders are. He missed a walk in TD, because if he just kept right there was nothing but daylight. Dont take my word for it, watch the vid, its an easy TD. The outside is completely sealed off by our blockers.

Mario trying his best to play bully ball with a horrible o line, 3 straight runs up the middle and a horrible 4th down call
Watch the 1st down play that’s not what happened. Franklin missed a walk in td. Bad vision cost us 7 points.

Correct me if wrong...I think he actually had 2 steps out of bounds.

Now, if he departed field of play and while in air over out of bounds pushed ball.back in, that is ok right?

Even if he were pushed out of bounds, he still has to return to field of play prior to touching ball.

Blades was initially pushed out of bounds...then he came back in...then he ran out of bounds (quite a bit out of bounds) because he made a tremendous effort to bat the ball back into the field of play & he couldn't possibly have reached the ball while keeping his feet in play. In summary, the ball was way too far out of bounds already for him to feasibly bat it back in while keeping his feet in play. It was a great individual effort on his part. It was not a great onside kick (it had a little too much pace on it).

Maybe he can make that type of effort attacking the ball when its in the air instead waiting for it fall in his lap

There’s a reason he was taken out of the game immediately after that.

I don’t think he even played again at all after that. He certainly didn’t get a carry.

He did well. However, Garcia is more mobile in the pocket and throwing on the run. I think he would push the ball downfield more.
You do realize TVD threw for nearly 500 yards and over 70% accuracy. I'll give it to that he threw it 57 times, but come on man. He wasn't dinking and dunking. He threw the ball where it was supposed to go and averaged nearly 9 yards per completion.

7 of 9 receivers averaged over 10 yards per catch. Only Parrish and Ladson were under at about 7 5 each.

everyones favorite QB is the backup QB. when the back up QB struggles, then its back to the starter
