1st and goal from the 2

ive seen golden do this ****. if you dont win now you wont get the guys you need to execute your vision. no one wants to come to losers. hes got an elite OL class coming in but its a bump class. it may be diff next year if we have another down year ( hope not bc I can't take another year of this crap where the season is over 1 month into it)
That’s what I’m saying man. Win now by whatever means and then when he has his top recruiting classes win how u want. It’s just dumb football the way he’s coaching rn

the biggest problem I have with being denied 5-6 times at the goal line, is we waited until 4th down to go Play Action.

Why not do that on 1st down? Seriously.. The reason we got stuffed was because the playcalling was WAY TOO predictable.

What annoys me more if we call 4 straight runs using 4 different players. WTF???

Do the coaches have any clue yet who our best short yardage back is? This has such a "throw sh*t at the wall and hope something sticks" feel to it

I realize he's not as mobile as Garcia and defenses are going to continue to stack the box and pressure him. Garcia, on the other hand, is more mobile and can throw on the run.
This is true, but what's your point? Garcia is more mobile, so he should be starting?

Well yeah, I'd like to see Jake play.

Point is, Jake is more mobile, can get out of a collapsing pocket and make accurate throws. He's also more willing to push the ball downfield.

All of which are true, but he''s isn't going to start and your points don't make him a better option just different.

Watch the 1st down play that’s not what happened. Franklin missed a walk in td. Bad vision cost us 7 points.

You want to get real angry?

So here's the first down play. He has a blocker in front who eventually engages #9 that outside guy.....but he cuts inside instead of outside where he has half the football field available.

On 3rd down they get the EXACT same look with Parrish...AGAIN we engage the outside defender to seal the edge...but his foot hits the d-linemans helmet and that trips him (a whole different discussion, I know). But, judging by his vision and movements, he was going to make the exact same mistake Franklin did and try the inside first.

And btw, that 4th down play was a horrible playcall because you're faking the run to two different guys and then throwing to Mallory. That means you've taken two guys out of the play who could block or get the ball because they're just decoys. So, on a critical 4th down, you're giving yourself only one option in Mallory and putting yourself at a disadvantage numbers wise. I'm not saying that's a bad play in general but in that situation...one option for the QB....and less men to help.

Excellent screenshots

You're showing what I try and tell people - it's on the RB's as much as it is the OL & Play Calling for our lack of success in the running game

VT has run defense has gotten gashed the last 3 straight games, so this is a good "get right" game

Mario literally referenced this post-game without even watching the film first. Was evident from 50 yards away. Of course he’s not going to flat out say the back blew it, but in so many words, he absolutely did.

I sure hope he didn't hurt his foot. Those toe injuries can be painful.

DT number 8 blew past Campbell on both plays? I thought Mario said they expected him to be elite.
