Geo is the man. Best recruiting guru we got. Geo any idea what up with Bandy ? Was this goldilocks fault or maybe no d or Williams? Ridiculous no offer. All American with bama chasing him, begging for an offer.
 
What I like most is Butch getting The big💵💵💪💪 backing from major players inside the BOT, that is solid if it's as true as the respected members of this site say.
 
If the story about Mario telling recruits and HS coaches to push for him to get the job is true then Mario knows Saban is firing him at the end of the season. If Saban hears about all that what would he think of Mario's sincerity and efforts in bringing those recruits to Alabama when he is working hard to get the Miami job? Why would HS coaches and athletes push for him to come to Miami if he is still telling them Alabama is the place to be?

I'll state again ... If this university hires a coach who NO ONE ELSE wants, be it Butch, Chud, Schiano, or Cristobal, it will be the laziest and most uninspiring search ever ...

If Blake James hires Butch because Paul Dimare tells him to, then this athletics program is finished! What the **** does Paul Dimare know?

There is a reason why football owners, who sign the checks, hire front office people to make these calls.

Butch is not getting the job, IMO.

And if I'm wrong ... It's over for the program.

A place built on innovation and pushing the envelope would be hiring a 65 year old guy who doesn't innovate or push the envelope. And if the OP is accurate, he's already got an exit strategy, and thinks we should hire a guy to replace him who went 27-47 as an HC, and was 3-9 in the year he was fired.

I simply can't believe the people making this decision will be that lazy to turn the keys over to Butch and Mario, hoping 1 guy is the same as he was 20 years ago, but hoping the other guy is significantly better than he was 5 years ago ...

real talk. Butch put a generation of DOMINANT players into the NFL. If you had an NFL team of just miami guys who played under Butch at UM. they would win a super bowl every year.

Only at UM would they hire a HCIW at the same time they hire a new HC. Unbelievable. Quite possibly the dumbest **** I've ever heard. Bill Snyder didn't even do that dumb ****, and he was 300 years old when he went back to KSU.
