I wonder how many people actually followed Miami during the Butch days.

Just wondering

This is a relevant question.

I'd think that the average age of those who'd like Butch to return is higher (possibly much higher) than those that have little interest in him...

As for me, I'm clearly not in the "younger" age group and I'd be more than happy to see Butch return....

Not pretending to speak to the coaching search. I want Butch to be our coach what I am saying is that what was written about Mario and Alex is complete BS.

Awesome. A coach who hasn't seen a sideline in 5 years, and who was forced out of his last job is our savior. But, his is eligible for social security next year, so maybe the early bird discounts can help with a stadium fund.

Butch turned Miami around no doubt but it was not a smooth ride there were many long Saturday afternoons and planes over the stadium. A 66-13 loss to Syracuse was maybe the lowest moment. He did beat UCLA the next week to knock them out of national championship mostly due to EdgeJames or defense was so bad that day.

This was almost 20 years ago I am not sure he can live up to the hype most in the Miami fan base has created

Butch has an amazing eye for talent and got rid of Bill Miller after the Syracuse fiasco and brought in Schiano. I would love to have Butch back but I just don't see it happening.

So amazing, he went 15-17 in ACC games at UNC.
